Rashard Higgins is signing with the Panthers.
Higgins is getting a one-year deal, as he goes from Cleveland to Carolina. Higgins showed flashes in six seasons with the Browns, and he's someone to keep an eye on in deeper leagues in particular if he can win a sizable role in the Panthers offense this summer.
The Browns are re-signing Rashard Higgins.
Higgins tested the market, but he's back with the Browns on a one-year deal. Baker Mayfield is a fan of throwing to Higgins, who averaged 16.2 yards per reception in his fifth NFL season last year (all with Cleveland). From a fantasy perspective, Higgins may struggle to be a consistent option if Odell Beckham Jr. is back and healthy from his ACL tear.
The Browns re-signed Rashard Higgins, according to multiple reports.
After the draft, Higgins is back in the mix for Cleveland, and he'll compete for the No. 3 receiver role behind Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry. Higgins should benefit from the coaching staff change, as he seemingly fell out of favor with the previous regime despite making plays when given opportunities early in his career.
Rashard Higgins (knee) was officially a full participant in today's practice.
Higgins looks poised to return for the first time since Week 1 after missing the last four games with a knee injury, but he'll join a receiving corps that's more crowded after Antonio Callaway returned from suspension. However, Callaway had a chance to come up with a touchdown (though it was not as easy of a catch as it was made out to be) in his return, so perhaps that'll help give Higgins a leg up for the most time behind Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry. Overall, Higgins does not need to be picked up right now.
Rashard Higgins (knee) is inactive for the Browns.
This is Higgins' fourth consecutive missed game after getting hurt in the season opener for Cleveland. And with Antonio Callaway back from suspension and active for the Browns, Higgins does not need to be held in redraft leagues.
Rashard Higgins (knee) is officially inactive for Week 4.
This is Higgins' third consecutive missed game. Wide receiver Antonio Callaway returns for the Browns after a four-game suspension next week, so Higgins could be looking at more of a split-time role when he does return to the field.
Rashard Higgins (knee) is officially listed as questionable for Week 4.
The Browns play at 1:00 PM ET on Sunday, so Higgins' status will be known before the slate of games kickoff. But outside of very deep leagues, it's difficult to trust Higgins in fantasy lineups if he's active after missing the last two games.
Rashard Higgins (knee) is officially inactive for Week 3.
This is Higgins' second consecutive missed game, and he should be considered week-to-week as he deals with this knee injury.
Rashard Higgins (knee) is officially listed as questionable for Week 3.
Higgins is likely a gametime call for Sunday night against the Rams, so he's very difficult to wait on and put into Week 3 fantasy lineups. Ideally, you'll have someone else for your FLEX spot, but Hilliard's status will be known by around 7:30 PM ET on Sunday if you're looking to play him.
Rashard Higgins (ankle) is officially inactive for Monday Night Football.
It looked like Higgins would be able to go tonight against the Jets, so this is a surprise. Perhaps the Browns decided Higgins wasn't 100% and should be held out until he gets closer to full strength. Taywan Taylor and Damion Ratley will likely be the two primary receivers filling in at receiver behind Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry.
Rashard Higgins (ankle) is officially listed as questionable for Monday night.
Higgins was limited in practice all week and says he'll play on Monday night, but if he's unable to go, Taywan Taylor and Damion Ratley would be set for more playing time behind Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry. If you're planning on using Higgins in your fantasy lineup, check back Monday evening and be sure to have a backup plan from the final game of the week in case he's inactive.
The Browns have tendered restricted free agent Rashard Higgins.
It's an original round tender that has been placed on Higgins, but the bottom line is that he will almost certainly remain in Cleveland next season, as teams would need to a surrender a fifth-round pick to sign him in a deep draft class. The 24-year-old caught 39 passes for 572 yards and four touchdowns in 13 games last season, but he probably won't be anything more than the No. 4 receiver for the Browns in 2019.
Rashard Higgins caught four passes for 86 yards in Sunday's loss to Baltimore.
The yards were a season-high for Higgins, who finishes with 39 receptions for 572 yards (14.7 average) and four touchdowns in 13 games. The 24-year-old now enters restricted free agency, but if he returns to Cleveland, he will likely settle in as no better than the No. 3 or No. 4 wideout depending on the talent they add.
Rashard Higgins caught six passes for 60 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's win.
Higgins saw seven targets, and the highlight was a 17-yard catch-and-run on a crossing route where he sprinted around the edge and dove for the pylon. The 24-year-old is extremely volatile in a spread-the-wealthy passing attack, so he's better left on the waiver wire heading into a matchup against the Ravens to close things out.
Rashard Higgins caught two passes for 30 yards in Saturday night's win over the Broncos.
Higgins had a 4/62/1 performance to start the month, but he's been pretty quiet over the past couple games as Cleveland keeps the ball on the ground. The 24-year-old is nothing more than a FLEX option in deeper leagues for Week 16 against Cincinnati.
Rashard Higgins caught two passes for 19 yards in Sunday's win over the Panthers.
He also lost a fumble. The Browns have a spread-the-wealth attack led by Baker Mayfield, so Higgins is just a volatile FLEX option for next week's matchup against the Broncos.
Rashard Higgins goes for 4/62/1 in loss to the Texans.
Higgins was able to bring in all four of his targets as Cleveland played from behind in a 29-13 defeat. The 24-year-old will hopefully finish strong this year after injuries impacted him in October/November, but Higgins isn't a strong fantasy play down the stretch.
Rashard Higgins catches one pass in Week 12.
Higgins gained 24 yards on his lone reception against the Bengals. Higgins is not getting enough looks to be a recommended fantasy option at the moment.
Rashard Higgins scores in win over the Falcons.
It was a 28-yard touchdown reception on his only target of the game. It was good to see Baker Mayfield spread the ball around in a 28-16 victory, but the pass-catchers in Cleveland will surely be impacted if that continues. For now, Higgins should remain a decent FLEX option when the Browns return from their Week 11 bye.
Rashard Higgins catches three passes in Week 9.
Higgins gained 19 yards on his three receptions in his first game after missing the last three with an MCL sprain. Higgins will look to do more damage in his second game back from the injury next week against Atlanta.
Rashard Higgins (knee) is officially active for the Browns.
Higgins said he would play, and he is now officially in the lineup for Cleveland. There’s some upside in a good matchup with the Chiefs, but there are probably safer options for Week 9 fantasy lineups.
Rashard Higgins (knee) is officially questionable for Week 9.
After Higgins missed the last three games, he was able to get in two straight limited practices the last two days. Higgins himself says he 100% will be out there on Sunday, and we don't anticipate interim head coach Gregg Williams feels the need to hold guys out if they say they can play, so expect Higgins to be active against the Chiefs.
Rashard Higgins (knee) is not practicing today.
Higgins is week-to-week with an MCL sprain, so he won't be playing this Sunday against the Chargers. Duke Johnson Jr. is expected to get more work in an inexperienced wide receiver group during Higgins' absence.
Rashard Higgins (knee) is doubtful to return against the Ravens.
We'll update you if anything changes, but consider Higgins' day done. Before leaving, Higgins caught three passes for 66 yards and a touchdown. Hopefully the injury isn't too serious that Higgins misses much more time with it.
Rashard Higgins leads team in receiving as Browns fall to the Raiders in overtime.
Higgins caught four passes for 61 yards in a 45-42 loss, as Baker Mayfield spread the ball around on 41 attempts. At the quarter mark of the season, Higgins is on pace for 52 receptions and 712 yards, and it's definitely not unrealistic for him to reach those numbers as a starter on an improving offense. Still, there are probably higher-upside options for Week 5 with a trip to Baltimore on deck.
Rashard Higgins caught three passes for 32 yards in Thursday night's win over the Jets.
Higgins continues to operate as the clear No. 3 receiver behind Jarvis Landry and Antonio Callaway, which could lead to some bigger fantasy days now that Baker Mayfield is starting for the Browns. Consider Higgins a deep-league FLEX option for Week 4 against Oakland.
Rashard Higgins gets seven targets against the Saints.
Higgins caught five passes for 47 yards in the Week 2 loss. Higgins is locked into the No. 3 role for Cleveland with Josh Gordon set to be off the team soon, but he's not a highly-recommended fantasy option at the moment.
Rashard Higgins catches 38-yard pass in Week 1 tie.
It was the only grab of the game for Higgins, who saw extended playing time with Josh Gordon not playing a full compliment of snaps. Even after Tampa Bay went crazy on the Saints in Week 1, Higgins isn't a recommended plug-and-play in a matchup against the Saints next Sunday.
Rashard Higgins scores twice in Week 17 loss.
Higgins caught three passes for 68 yards and two touchdowns, but it wasn't enough to keep the Browns from falling to 0-16. The 23-year-old finished with 27 receptions for 312 yards and two touchdowns this season. He probably won't be a fantasy option next year.
Rashard Higgins gets three targets in Week 16.
Higgins caught two passes for 20 yards against the Bears, and he's not a fantasy option on a subpar Cleveland offense.
Rashard Higgins gets one target in Week 14.
Higgins didn't catch the lone target versus Green Bay. He's not on the fantasy radar at the moment.
Rashard Higgins catches 22-yard pass in loss to the Bengals.
Higgins was one of six Browns with a reception of 20+ yards, but it didn't stop them from falling to 0-11. The 23-year-old finished with two receptions for 30 yards. He isn't a fantasy option.
Rashard Higgins caught four passes for 34 yards in Sunday's loss to the Lions.
Higgins has still yet to find the end zone this season, and Sunday's game was the first time with more than 14 yards since the Week 2. He isn't a fantasy option against the Jags in Week 11.
Rashard Higgins catches only target in week 8.
Higgins’ reception went for 14 yards, and he’s not a recommended fantasy option right now.
Rashard Higgins caught one pass in Sunday's loss to Houston.
It went for 13 yards. Higgins isn't a fantasy option as a role player on a bad offense.
Rashard Higgins catches two passes in Week 3.
Higgins had ten yards on his two receptions, and he actually had six targets in the game. He doesn't need to be on fantasy rosters, but he's worth keeping an eye on.
Rashard Higgins leads Browns in receiving on Sunday.
Higgins caught seven passes for 95 yards against a tough Baltimore defense. He also rushed once for four yards. Recently promoted to the active roster, Higgins showed he really wants to stick around, as he was the main source of offense for Cleveland. With Corey Coleman potentially out multiple weeks with a broken hand and Kenny Britt looking like a disappointment after two games, Higgins might be worth a look in fantasy leagues. The Colts are next on the schedule.
