WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

Ray-Ray McCloud | 49ers WR

Ray-Ray McCloud is signing with the 49ers.

McCloud said earlier this offseason that he only wanted to play for Mike Tomlin, but he’ll instead head over to an NFC contender on a two-year deal. Aside from the obvious value on special teams, McCloud can also be a factor on offense with the potential to do some similar things to Deebo Samuel if needed.

Ray-Ray McCloud | 49ers WR

The Steelers placed Ray-Ray McCloud on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

The COVID issues for the Steelers continue. McCloud has been a key contributor as a returner for the Steelers, and he's also gotten some time on offense as of late. Hopefully the receiver/returner is feeling better and can re-join his teammates soon.

Ray-Ray McCloud | 49ers WR

The Steelers re-signed Ray-Ray McCloud.

McCloud found a role in Pittsburgh, and the Clemson product can contribute as a returner and as a reserve receiver. Perhaps McCloud's role on offense will expand in his second year with the Steelers.

Ray-Ray McCloud | 49ers WR

The Steelers are signing Ray-Ray McCloud, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

McCloud is primarily a special teams contributor, so this is an interesting signing with Pittsburgh having Ryan Switzer and Diontae Johnson both capable of handling return duties. The former Clemson standout isn't currently on the fantasy radar.

Ray-Ray McCloud | 49ers WR

The Bills signed Ray-Ray McCloud to the practice squad.

McCloud was just drafted by Buffalo in the sixth-round in 2018, but he was waived at the end of this preseason ahead of final cuts and was then claimed by Carolina. The Bills probably wanted to keep the Clemson product, and now they're able to stash him on the practice squad. McCloud will look to work his way back up to the active roster.

Ray-Ray McCloud | 49ers WR

The Panthers waived Ray-Ray McCloud.

Carolina is deciding to go in another direction at punt returner after McCloud had a fumbled punt in the team's win over Tampa Bay in London. The Clemson product should find a new team soon, but he's off the fantasy radar right now.

Ray-Ray McCloud | 49ers WR

The Panthers have claimed Ray-Ray McCloud.

McCloud is excellent insurance as a run-after-catch guy that can potentially fill in behind D.J. Moore or Curtis Samuel, but he's currently off the fantasy radar in redraft leagues.

Ray-Ray McCloud | 49ers WR

The Bills are waiving Ray-Ray McCloud.

McCloud played well in the preseason and can contribute on both offense and special teams, but Buffalo's receiving corps is crowded after adding pieces in the offseason. The 22-year-old should land with a new team quickly, or he could join the Bills practice squad.

Ray-Ray McCloud | 49ers WR

Ray-Ray McCloud catches one pass in Week 17 win.

It went for five yards. McCloud's rookie season ends with seven total touches for 40 yards. The Clemson product won't be on the fantasy radar to start 2019, but he should be able to make a real-life impact for the Bills.

Ray-Ray McCloud | 49ers WR

Ray-Ray McCloud rushed once for seven yard in Sunday's win.

McCloud wasn't targeted in the passing game, but he was probably the next man up for Buffalo at running back if Keith Ford didn't end up returning after a brief exit. The Clemson product won't be a recommended fantasy option to close out the year.

Ray-Ray McCloud | 49ers WR

Ray-Ray McCloud III did not catch a pass in Week 9.

The rookie receiver from Clemson remains just a dynasty-league option for now, but he'll look to have a bigger role in the final several weeks of the season.

Ray-Ray McCloud | 49ers WR

Ray-Ray McCloud catches one pass in Week 8.

McCloud's lone reception in the Bills' loss to the Patriot went for 16 yards. The rookie from Clemson remains just a dynasty-league hold for now.

Ray-Ray McCloud | 49ers WR

Ray-Ray McCloud will not play in Week 7.

The team just announced that the rookie receiver will not make the trip to Indianapolis for their matchup against the Colts for a "non-injury reason." It's unclear if it's something personal for McCloud or if the Bills disciplined him for some reason, but hopefully everything is OK. McCloud wasn't a fantasy option outside of extremely deep leagues.

Ray-Ray McCloud | 49ers WR

Ray-Ray McCloud fumbles twice in loss to the Texans.

McCloud lost one of his fumbles on a punt return in the first quarter, and he also caught a two-yard pass on offense. The Clemson product could get more playing time as the season progresses if Buffalo falls out of contention, but he is unlikely to turn into a fantasy contributor in 2018.

Ray-Ray McCloud | 49ers WR

Ray-Ray McCloud handles two touches in Week 5 win.

McCloud caught a seven-yard pass and rushed once for negative-three yards. The Clemson product could potentially turn into a dangerous weapon with the ball in his hands, but it's unlikely to come as a rookie on a conservative offense. McCloud can stay on the waiver wire.

Ray-Ray McCloud | 49ers WR

Ray-Ray McCloud catches first career pass in first NFL action.

After being inactive in Week 1 and Week 2, McCloud caught a six-yard pass in Sunday's win over Minnesota. He also operated as the team's punt returner. The Clemson product isn't on the fantasy radar, but he has a prime opportunity to carve out an offensive role on a depth chart that's starved for playmakers.

Ray-Ray McCloud | 49ers WR

Ray-Ray McCloud (knee) is active for Week 3.

After missing the first two weeks of the season, the rookie receiver from Clemson is making his NFL debut against the Vikings. McCloud is not a fantasy option, but he's someone to keep an eye on particularly in dynasty leagues.

Ray-Ray McCloud | 49ers WR

Ray-Ray McCloud (knee) is listed as questionable for Week 3.

The rookie receiver was a full participant in practice for the first time since the start of the season, so he looks to have a very good shot of making his NFL debut on Sunday against the Vikings. McCloud's status will be known by 11:30 AM ET on Sunday.

Ray-Ray McCloud | 49ers WR

Ray-Ray McCloud (knee) remains limited in practice.

The rookie receiver hasn't had a full practice yet this season as he looks to make his NFL debut. He's likely headed for a questionable tag when the official Week 3 injury report is released tomorrow.

Ray-Ray McCloud | 49ers WR

Ray-Ray McCloud (knee) remains limited in practice.

McCloud was limited last week before missing Sunday's game. He did have a questionable designation for Week 2, though, so the rookie receiver should be close to his NFL debut.

Ray-Ray McCloud | 49ers WR

Ray-Ray McCloud (knee) is inactive for Week 2.

The Bills have only three receivers available  today against the Chargers. McCloud appears to be getting close to a return, but he's off the fantasy radar.

Ray-Ray McCloud | 49ers WR

Ray-Ray McCloud (knee) is listed as questionable for Week 2.

The rookie receiver was able to get up to a limited practice participation for the first time since the start of the regular season, but it might not be enough to play in his first NFL game. We'll know if he's active or inactive by 11:30 AM ET on Sunday.

Ray-Ray McCloud | 49ers WR

Ray-Ray McCloud (knee) misses practice.

McCloud hasn't practiced this regular season yet, and it would be a major surprise if he plays in Week 2. The rookie receiver might be ruled out tomorrow ahead of the weekend.

Ray-Ray McCloud | 49ers WR

Ray-Ray McCloud (knee) did not practice today.

The rookie receiver missed Week 1 with the knee injury, and he doesn't seem likely to play this week. We'll see if he's able to work his way up to at least a limited practice tomorrow or Friday.

Ray-Ray McCloud | 49ers WR

Ray-Ray McCloud (knee) has been ruled out for Week 1.

The sixth-round rookie receiver hasn't practice all week, so this was fully expected. McCloud is off the fantasy radar for now, but hopefully he gets healthy soon. He has the ability to make an impact on both offense and special teams.

Ray-Ray McCloud | 49ers WR

Ray-Ray McCloud test.

Testing of the fantasy news for Ray-Ray McCloud.. Please ignore. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Ray-Ray McCloud | 49ers WR

Ray-Ray McCloud is getting some first-team reps on offense.

Bills head coach Sean McDermott said the team weighs game performance over practice, and the sixth-round rookie from Clemson had a very good showing in the opening preseason game on Thursday night against the Panthers. McCloud caught a touchdown from Josh Allen at the end of the game, catching three passes for 50 yards in total. McCloud isn't yet on the fantasy radar for standard-sized leagues, but he's someone to keep in mind. He has the ability to make a year-one impact.

Ray-Ray McCloud | 49ers WR

The Bills have selected Clemson wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud with the 187th pick (sixth round) in the 2018 NFL Draft.

McCloud is a dangerous player with the ball in his hands, so this is a great pick by Buffalo to give Josh Allen a playmaker that can be used on short passes and jet sweeps. However, McCloud could be lacking the natural receiving ability to develop into a full-time, traditional wide receiver, which limits his fantasy appeal if he makes the team and is active on game day as a rookie.
