Ricky Seals-Jones | Giants TE

Ricky Seals-Jones is signing with the Giants.

Seals-Jones had a nice season in place of Logan Thomas with Washington in 2021, and now he’ll join the rival Giants as the top current tight end on the depth chart. New York should be a top candidate to draft a tight end at some point next month, and it’s notably a strong rookie class for the position.

Ricky Seals-Jones | Giants TE

Ricky Seals-Jones has been carted off against the Eagles.

Seals-Jones was trying to make a catch on the sideline in the end zone and collided with a cameraman. Both people were unfortunately hurt, and Seals-Jones is being taken off on a stretcher. Hopefully this is just a precaution and Seals-Jones is feeling OK soon. Before leaving the Week 17 matchup, RSJ had one reception for eight yards.

Ricky Seals-Jones is signing with Washington.

Washington is extremely deep at tight end, but Seals-Jones should have a shot to win the No. 2 tight end role behind Logan Thomas this summer. For now, RSJ is now a recommended 2021 fantasy option.

Ricky Seals-Jones | Giants TE

The Chiefs are signing Ricky Seals-Jones, according to Yahoo Sports' Terez Paylor.

Seals-Jones emerged with a nice stretch for the Browns last season, scoring four touchdowns on 14 receptions while averaging 16.4 yards per reception. Seals-Jones is still just 25 years old and will look to carve out a nice role behind star tight end Travis Kelce this year.

Ricky Seals-Jones | Giants TE

Ricky Seals-Jones (knee) is officially active for Thursday night.

Seals-Jones being active is a boost for the Browns, but Demetrius Harris probably has the better chance of finding the end zone if you're looking to use one of Cleveland's tight ends in your Week 11 fantasy lineup.

Ricky Seals-Jones | Giants TE

Ricky Seals-Jones (knee) is listed as questionable for Week 11.

Head coach Freddie Kitchens said that RSJ will be a game-time decision, but even if he suits up, Demetrius Harris looks like the preferred play at the position. We'll know Seals-Jones' status tomorrow night.

Ricky Seals-Jones | Giants TE

Ricky Seals-Jones (knee) is officially inactive for the Browns.

Seals-Jones was listed as questionable entering the weekend, but he was expected to be out against the Bills. Cleveland will likely mostly utilize their running backs and wide receivers for today’s Week 10 game.

UPDATE: Ricky Seals-Jones (knee) is questionable for Week 10.

Seals-Jones is not expected to play after missing today's practice, but the Browns are hoping he's able to give it a go on Sunday. If active, RSJ would be difficult to trust in fantasy lineups at less than 100%.

Ricky Seals-Jones | Giants TE

Ricky Seals-Jones (knee) has been ruled out for Week 10.

Seals-Jones was injured last week, and he'll be unable to go on Sunday against the Bills. Veteran Demetrius Harris should get a slight boost and will be worth considering as a TE2 option, but there are probably better options to consider.

Seals-Jones was cut by Arizona yesterday, but the athletic tight end is just 24 years old and could help contribute in the red zone in particular for the Cardinals. RSJ might soon become the primary backup to David Njoku.

It was a step up considering Seals-Jones had been held to a combined 20 yards over the previous three weeks, but it didn't lead to any offensive production for Arizona in a 17-3 defeat. Fantasy owners should look for a tight end that has a better quarterback situation down the stretch.

Ricky Seals-Jones | Giants TE

Seals-Jones gained ten yards on his lone Week 13 reception. The athletic tight end is currently difficult to trust in fantasy lineups, as he has just one reception in each of the last three games.

Ricky Seals-Jones | Giants TE

It went for five yards, and Seals-Jones was only targeted twice. The athletic tight end is closer to falling outside the top 25 at the position than he is being a reliable TE2 option. RSJ will take on the Packers in Week 13.

Ricky Seals-Jones | Giants TE

Ricky Seals-Jones catches one pass in Week 11.

Seals-Jones gained five yards on his lone reception versus Oakland, as he continued to split time with veteran tight end Jermaine Gresham. It was a good matchup for Seals-Jones, but the result isn't surprising in an offense centered around David Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald with a rookie quarterback. Seals-Jones is a low-floor option for Week 12 against the Chargers.

Ricky Seals-Jones | Giants TE

Seals-Jones was mostly targeted on underneath passes against the Chiefs, gaining 51 yards on his five receptions, but he did have a long of 21 yards. Seals-Jones gained 12 yards on his two receptions in Arizona's win against San Francisco. Seals-Jones has potential, but he's looking like just a dynasty-league option for now.

The 23-year-old was forced to leave Thursday's game with an arm injury, but it's apparently just a bruise, which is great news for a team that needs all the help they can get. Seals-Jones should be good to go for Week 8 against the Niners, but keep an eye on his practice status next week.

Attempting to recover a Josh Rosen fumble, Seals-Jones slammed his forearm/wrist area on an opposing player's helmet. He is headed to the locker room, and his night is almost certainly over. Before leaving, Seals-Jones caught two passes for 12 yards.

Ricky Seals-Jones | Giants TE

Seals-Jones led the team in receiving for Week 4, picking up chunk plays of 31 yards and 21 yards. The second-year tight end has a 40/492/4 pace through four weeks, and he won't be a recommended fantasy option heading into a matchup with the 49ers next Sunday.

Ricky Seals-Jones | Giants TE

Ricky Seals-Jones catches long touchdown in Week 3.

Seals-Jones opened the scoring against the Bears, getting wide open for a 35-yard touchdown in the first quarter. It was Seals-Jones' only reception of the game, but he remains the clear No. 1 tight end even with Jermaine Gresham back in the lineup.

Ricky Seals-Jones | Giants TE

Rick Seals-Jones catches four passes in Week 2.

Seals-Jones received a team-high six targets, but he gained only 17 yards on four receptions. The Cardinals simply didn't block the Rams well, which led to Sam Bradford running for his life and not having time to get the ball down the field. Seals-Jones faces the Bears next week.

Ricky Seals-Jones | Giants TE

Ricky Seals-Jones catches three passes against the Redskins.

Seals-Jones gained 19 yards on his three receptions (six targets). Nothing was really open down the field for the Cardinals in the game, and Seals-Jones is probably going to need big plays to deliver TE1 value.

Ricky Seals-Jones | Giants TE

Mike Jurecki of AZCardinals.com says Ricky Seals-Jones is his breakout pick this season.

Jurecki tweeted: "My #AZCardinals breakout offensive player this upcoming season. His targets should be a lot higher this year with an expanded role. He’s still working on becoming a better blocker." Seals-Jones flashed major upside as an undrafted free agent last season, and he could be set to be Arizona's lead tight end in 2018, especially with veteran Jermaine Gresham's status for Week 1 uncertain because of an Achilles injury. The 23-year-old could have TE1 upside this season, and he's worth owning in dynasty leagues.

Ricky Seals-Jones | Giants TE

Darren Urban of AZCardinals.com believes Ricky Seals-Jones will be the team's starting tight end for Week 1.

Urban notes that veteran tight end Jermaine Gresham is coming off a torn Achilles from the final game last season, so his status for Week 1 is very much up in the air. (And he also notes that it's still only June and a lot can change.) As an undrafted rookie last season, Seals-Jones caught 12 passes for 201 yards (16.8 yards per reception) and three touchdowns. Seals-Jones is a very athletic player, and he could potentially have a big role for the Cardinals in 2018. The big concern is blocking, as he might not stay on the field close to full-time if he doesn't execute as a blocker. Seals-Jones remains a very intriguing dynasty option, and he could deliver TE1 value this season.

Ricky Seals-Jones | Giants TE

The athletic tight end's season ends with 12 receptions for 201 yards (16.8 yards per reception) and three touchdowns in ten games played. We would expect the potentially new coaching staff would be interested in getting their hands on Seals-Jones, and he's an intriguing dynasty-league hold.

Ricky Seals-Jones | Giants TE

Seals-Jones wasn't involved on offense against the Giants this week, despite the Giants being a bad team at defending opposing tight ends. Seals-Jones is more of a dynasty-league option for now.

Ricky Seals-Jones | Giants TE

Ricky Seals-Jones contained in Week 15 loss.

Seals-Jones caught two passes for just 11 yards, as he couldn't come through in a good matchup. He will look to bounce back in an even better one next week against the Giants, but Seals-Jones likely remains off the TE1 map.

Ricky Seals-Jones | Giants TE

Ricky Seals-Jones | Giants TE

Ricky Seals-Jones caught two passes for 44 yards in Sunday's loss to the Rams.

Seals-Jones cooled off some, but he was still second on the team in yards behind Larry Fitzgerald. He will look to return to the end zone next week against the Titans, and Seals-Jones could be a fantasy option down the stretch.

Ricky Seals-Jones | Giants TE

Ricky Seals-Jones scores again in Week 12 win.

Seals-Jones caught four passes for 72 yards and a touchdown, following up a two-touchdown performance against the Texans in Week 11. The rookie tight end is suddenly a legitimate fantasy option, and he'll look to stay hot against the Rams next Sunday in a game that the Cardinals will likely have to score close to 30 points again.

Ricky Seals-Jones | Giants TE

Ricky Seals-Jones explodes for two touchdowns in Week 11.

The athletic 6'5" tight end caught three of five targets for 54 yards and two touchdowns in the game, and as they were the first career receptions for Seals-Jones. While he's been on the dynasty radar because of his athletic ability, Seals-Jones is looking like pickup in all dynasty leagues. For standard leagues, he's worth a flier but is not a recommended option in lineups yet.
