WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

Robert Davis | Eagles WR

The Eagles have promoted Robert Davis from the practice squad.

Davis is replacing Alshon Jeffery (foot), and he could have an immediate role in Week 15 if Nelson Agholor (knee) misses another game. Right now, fantasy owners are probably better off avoiding Philly's entire group of wideouts, as Zach Ertz, Dallas Goedert, and the running backs will continue to be the focal-point on offense.

The Redskins officially released Robert Davis.

Washington is going in another direction, promoting wide receiver Cam Sims from the practice squad. Davis is 24 years old and should draw interest around the league soon.

After further testing, Redskins wideout Robert Davis will miss the 2018 season with a broken leg and torn LCL, according to Ian Rapoport.

Earlier, it was reported that the team feared a torn ACL for Davis, so this might actually be better news. The second-year receiver will still undergo surgery, but hopefully he is 100% well before training camp next year. The Redskins will have a few options looking to step up behind Jamison Crowder, Paul Richardson, and Josh Doctson for the rest of the month.

Initial tests have revealed a torn ACL for Robert Davis, according to Mike Garafolo.

Washington has been hit with injuries harder than anyone this week, and it continues with their 2017 sixth-round receiver likely set to miss the entire season. Garafolo says that Davis could have been a contributor this year for Washington, but now he will hope to get healthy and make the team in 2019. This injury could open the door for seventh-rounder Trey Quinn or undrafted rookie Simmie Cobbs Jr. to make an impact.

The Redskins select Georgia State receiver Robert Davis with the 209th pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Davis is a freak athlete that had a 41 inch vertical and an 11 foot, 4 inch broad jump, with 19 reps on the bench press and a 4.44 40-yard dash. He had over 60 receptions, 960 yards, and five touchdowns in each of his last two seasons at Georgia State and was All-Sun Belt in those two seasons. The Redskins will look to develop Davis in a young receiving group. He is unlikely to be a significant contributor as a rookie.
