Robert Turbin | Seahawks RB

The Seahawks are signing Robert Turbin.

Turbin confirmed he is returning to Seattle on his Instagram page. The huge running back started his career with the Seahawks and played three seasons for the team from 2012-2014, so he's familiar with Pete Carroll's program and is a natural fit as someone that can come in and play. Turbin is a great addition for the Seahawks in real life, but he's not a highly recommended fantasy add for Week 17.

The Colts waived Robert Turbin.

The big veteran running back was in a crowded Indianapolis backfield, so he’ll look to land somewhere he might get more playing time. Turbin spent the last two-plus seasons with the Colts and ran for seven touchdowns with them back in 2016.

Robert Turbin (shoulder) has been ruled out for Week 8.

Turbin didn't practice all week, and he remains week-to-week with his shoulder injury.

Robert Turbin | Seahawks RB

Robert Turbin (shoulder) will not play this Sunday.

Consider Turbin week-to-week with his shoulder injury suffered in Week 6. Turbin missing time could mean more touches for Jordan Wilkins, who didn't get a touch last week against the Jets.

Robert Turbin loses fumble in Colts' loss.

Turbin carried four times for ten yards and added one reception for three yards, along with the lost fumble, in the Week 6 loss to the Jets. The veteran running back will look to bounce back next week against the Bills, but his role isn't big enough to deliver reliable fantasy value.

Robert Turbin | Seahawks RB

Robert Turbin doesn't receive a touch in Colts' loss.

In Turbin's first game back from his four-game suspension, he didn't receive many snaps on offense, working behind rookies Nyheim Hines and Jordan Wilkins. Turbin was targeted once on a pass that was thrown in the ground on a screen pass; he was also in the game on Indianapolis' final offensive play, lined up as the tailback in a goal-line formation, but it was a play-action pass. Overall, Turbin is not a recommended fantasy option right now.

Robert Turbin in was activated to the 53-man roster.

Turbin is back from his four-game suspension and is officially activated ahead of tonight’s game versus the Patriots. Turbin is not a recommended fantasy option, but there’s a chance he makes an impact as the veteran in a young backfield.

Robert Turbin | Seahawks RB

Robert Turbin says he's getting suspended for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances.

Turbin beat the media to the story, which he says was important to him so he can apologize to those that matter to him. Turbin took responsibility for his error and says he hopes it educates and informs other players. It's reportedly a four-game suspension for Turbin. The Colts have a pretty wide-open backfield with first-year head coach Frank Reich, but this missed time could hurt Turbin as he looks to compete for a nice role. This suspension could potentially lead to Turbin getting released if the roster spots get really tight in Indy.

The Colts officially placed Robert Turbin (arm) on IR.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported this was expected, and now it's official. It's possible Turbin could be brought back as a designated to return player, but his 2017 season is likely over. Turbin is under contract with the Colts in 2018 and should be back with them.

Robert Turbin | Seahawks RB

Robert Turbin (dislocated elbow) is expected to be placed on IR, according to Ian Rapoport.

As Rapoport notes, this will likely mean more of electric rookie Marlon Mack in the lineup behind Frank Gore. It does also mean Gore will likely get most of the short yardage carries now, something that Turbin had taken a lot of dating back to last season. Turbin's injury is a shame, and we hope he's back healthy and out there running hard again late in the season or in 2018.

Robert Turbin | Seahawks RB

Robert Turbin leaves game with apparent arm injury.

Late in the fourth quarter with Tennessee driving down the field to try and tie the game, Turbin caught a pass that he nearly took for a first down and took a bit hit while laying out to try and get the necessary yardage for the conversion. Before leaving, Turbin had three carries for three yards and four receptions for 37 yards. Hopefully the injury isn't too bad and he can get back on the field soon for the Colts.

Robert Turbin | Seahawks RB

Robert Turbin gets six touches in Week 5.

Turbin carried four times for six yards and had two receptions for 13 yards versus San Francisco. The big back also received a carry by the goal line, but the 49ers stuffed it. Turbin is a contributor for the Colts, but he's not reliable in fantasy right now.

Robert Turbin | Seahawks RB

Robert Turbin scores against the Seahawks.

The big back carried six times for eight yards, punching one in for a score at the goal line against his former team when the game was close, which probably felt good for the former Seahawk. Turbin is just a handcuff right now, despite his scoring potential each week.

Robert Turbin | Seahawks RB

Robert Turbin gets five carries in Week 3.

Turbin gained 18 yards on his five attempts while also adding one reception for two yards. Frank Gore (25 carries) handled most of the work in the backfield, so Turbin is more of a handcuff option for now.

Robert Turbin | Seahawks RB

Robert Turbin gets four touches in Week 2.

Turbin carries three times for 11 yards and had an eight-yard reception. Frank Gore is the clear lead guy in Indy's backfield, so Turbin doesn't have much fantasy value right now. When Andrew Luck returns, it should give a boost to everyone including Turbin, though.

Robert Turbin | Seahawks RB

Robert Turbin rushed twice for seven yards in the Colts' season opener.

He also caught one pass for negative-four yards. Turbin worked behind both Frank Gore and rookie Marlon Mack in the blowout loss, so he should be on the waiver wire on a bad team.

Robert Turbin | Seahawks RB

Robert Turbin carries five times for six yards in preseason opener.

He and the Colts couldn't find much room to run against the Lions. Turbin is expected to get more work behind the 34-year-old Frank Gore this season, which could mean some standalone fantasy value for him—he did score seven touchdowns on the ground last season for the Colts.

Robert Turbin | Seahawks RB

The Colts "love" running back Robert Turbin.

Earlier this offseason, the team said they want to get Turbin more touches this season. The 34-year-old Frank Gore hasn't been participating in minicamp, so Turbin has gotten a lot of reps with the first team. Turbin is a huge back with ability, and he might be able to get upwards of 7-10 carries per game this season.

Robert Turbin | Seahawks RB

Colts running back Robert Turbin might get a bigger workload in 2017.

New GM Chris Ballard wanted Turbin back on the team and said he'd like Turbin to progress and take some work from Frank Gore to keep him fresh. Ballard said "that’ll be completely up to our coaching staff and Robert and how he performs." Turbin only averaged 3.1 yards per carry last season, but he was effective in short yardage and goal line situations. Turbin could get around ten touches per game if the Colts don't add a running back in the draft.

Robert Turbin | Seahawks RB

Robert Turbin stays with Colts on a two-year contract.

If the Colts don't add any other running backs before next season, Turbin could see his role expand more. For now, he'll be the backup to Frank Gore. Turbin should get some goal line and short yardage touches next season, as he received more of them towards the end of last season.

Robert Turbin scores to end his season.

Turbin had three carries for 15 yards and a touchdown, with two catches for 18 yards against the Jags. He ends the season with 47 carries for 164 yards and seven touchdowns. Robert Turbin is an upcoming free agent, but he and the Colts might be able to work something out—he seems to have a good role with them.

Robert Turbin | Seahawks RB

Robert Turbin scores twice in Colts blowout win over the Vikings.

Turbin had seven carries for 32 yards and two touchdowns, and added two receptions for 22 yards. Turbin's first touchdown came as an up back at the goal line, and his second touchdown came on a few broken tackles inside the ten yard line (or poor tackling by the Vikings). Despite the two touchdown performance, Turbin is not a good FLEX option.

Robert Turbin scores garbage time touchdown in blowout victory.

Turbin finished with six carries for 16 yards and a touchdown. He is just a handcuff to Frank Gore, who saw 20 carries on Monday night.
