WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

Scott Simonson | Free Agent TE

The Giants have released Scott Simonson.

Simonson has been with the Raiders, Panthers, and Giants since going undrafted in 2014, and he should be able to find another team relatively soon. The Assumption product will turn just 28 in April.

Scott Simonson | Free Agent TE

Scott Simonson (concussion) has been ruled out for Week 17.

Simonson had two receptions for 11 yards in ten games this season, and he'll be a free agent this offseason.

Scott Simonson | Free Agent TE

The Giants have placed Scott Simonson (ankle) on injured reserve.

Simonson wasn't expected to have a significant role behind Evan Engram and Rhett Ellison, but this locks in Garrett Dickerson as New York's No. 3 tight end.

Scott Simonson catches two passes in Week 17.

Simonson gained 14 yards on his two receptions versus Dallas. Simonson's season ends with nine receptions for 86 yards and a touchdown, and he's not a fantasy option as more of a real-life contributor heading into 2019.

Scott Simonson | Free Agent TE

Scott Simonson finds the end zone in Week 16 loss.

Simonson caught three passes for 16 yards, including three-yard touchdown in the first quarter. It was the first score of Simonson's career. Fantasy owners can look elsewhere in Week 17.

Scott Simonson | Free Agent TE

Scott Simonson catches two passes in Week 13.

Simonson gained 25 yards on his two receptions against the Bears. Simonson is not a fantasy option at the moment.

Scott Simonson | Free Agent TE

Scott Simonson doesn't catch a pass in Giants' loss.

Simonson was targeted as a secondary option on a play-action pass at the goal line, but he couldn't come up with a catch that he probably could've made. Simonson is a better real-life contributor than fantasy asset at the moment.

Scott Simonson | Free Agent TE

Scott Simonson catches one pass in loss to the Eagles.

It went for 24 yards and came on the final play of the game in garbage time. Simonson has just two receptions for 31 yards this season, and he is unlikely to make a fantasy impact with Evan Engram (knee) nearing a return.

Scott Simonson | Free Agent TE

Scott Simonson catches one pass in Week 4.

Simonson's lone reception went for seven yards against the Saints. It was Simonson's first reception since 2015 when he was with the Panthers, who the Giants play next week.
