WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

T.J. Jones | Free Agent WR

The Giants released T.J. Jones.

Jones caught three passes for 38 yards and a touchdown against the Bills in Week 2, but he didn't have any receptions in the last two games. Jones is just 27 and should draw interest from other teams—perhaps his former Lions squad will be interested in bringing him back.

T.J. Jones | Free Agent WR

The Giants have signed T.J. Jones, according to Dan Salomone.

It's the second wideout added today after the team lost Sterling Shepard (thumb) and Corey Coleman (knee) to injuries, and Jones has the experience to potentially work his way to first-team reps in short order. The 27-year-old has appeared in 42 games with Detroit over the past four years, including nine combined starts in 2017 and 2018.

T.J. Jones | Free Agent WR

T.J. Jones scores twice against Green Bay.

Jones caught three passes for 40 yards and two touchdowns in Detroit's Week 17 victory. On the season, Jones caught 19 passes for 190 yards and two touchdowns. Jones will be a free agent this offseason, but we'd think the Lions are interested in brining him back as someone that's made plays for Matthew Stafford when called upon and plays his role well.

T.J. Jones | Free Agent WR

T.J. Jones caught six passes for 42 yards in Sunday's loss to the Vikings.

Jones brought in all six of his looks, and he was the only receiver other than Kenny Golladay to catch multiple passes. Still, fantasy owners shouldn't be relying on Jones for potential fantasy title matches in Week 17.

T.J. Jones | Free Agent WR

T.J. Jones catches one pass in Week 15 loss.

It went for five yards. Jones isn't a recommended fantasy option on a conservative passing attack.

T.J. Jones | Free Agent WR

T.J. Jones held without a catch in Week 14 win.

Jones was targeted once. Fantasy owners should look elsewhere down the stretch.

T.J. Jones | Free Agent WR

T.J. Jones catches one pass in loss to the Rams.

It went for 25 yards. Jones hasn't seen the expected jump in production since the Golden Tate trade due to Bruce Ellington's emergence, so he won't be a recommended fantasy option in Week 14.

T.J. Jones | Free Agent WR

T.J. Jones catches one pass against the Bears.

Jones gained 15 yards on his lone Week 12 reception. Jones is a better real-life contributor than a reliable fantasy option at the moment.

T.J. Jones | Free Agent WR

T.J. Jones catches one pass in Week 11.

Jones gained two yards on his one reception against the Panthers. It was just one game, but Bruce Ellington appears to have immediately passed Jones on the depth chart for Detroit, so Jones is more of a real-life contributor than fantasy option right now.

T.J. Jones | Free Agent WR

T.J. Jones catches 12-yard pass in loss to the Bears.

It was his only reception of the game. The 26-year-old was thought to be set to an extended role following the trade of Golden Tate, but Detroit has struggled offensively over the past two weeks. Fantasy owners should probably look elsewhere for Week 11.

T.J. Jones | Free Agent WR

T.J. Jones catches two passes in Lions' loss.

Jones gained 13 yards on his two receptions against the Vikings. With Golden Tate now in Philadelphia, Jones is Detroit's third receiver. He's made plays when given opportunities the last two seasons in particular, and he'll look to make a big impact in the second half of the season.

T.J. Jones | Free Agent WR

T.J. Jones catches one pass in Week 7.

Jones' lone reception versus the Dolphins went for 26 yards. He's an excellent No. 4 receiver for the Lions, but Jones is not a fantasy option at the moment.

T.J. Jones | Free Agent WR

T.J. Jones catches one pass against the Patriots.

Jones gained four yards on his lone reception in the Week 3 win. Jones is a very good fourth receiver for Detroit, but he obviously cannot be trusted in fantasy lineups with Marvin Jones, Kenny Golladay, and Golden Tate all healthy.

T.J. Jones | Free Agent WR

T.J. Jones catches one pass in Week 1.

Jones gained six yards on his lone reception, and he nearly had a touchdown reception when he laid out of a deep ball in the end zone that was just out of his reach. Jones is not a reliable fantasy option as Detroit's No. 4 receiver.

T.J. Jones | Free Agent WR

The Lions re-signed wide receiver T.J. Jones.

Jones was a restricted free agent, and he remains in a good spot with Detroit. Last season, Jones stepped up for the Lions and became one of their better contributors, catching 30 passes for 399 yards and one touchdown. Considering Jones has more experience in the offense, he might have a shot at fending off talented second-year receiver Kenny Golladay for the third receiver spot behind Marvin Jones and Golden Tate this season.

T.J. Jones | Free Agent WR

T.J. Jones (shoulder) heads to the locker room.

Jones hurt his shoulder in middle of the fourth quarter and is officially being called questionable to return. With around six minutes to go in the game, we might not see Jones back. Before leaving, Jones had three receptions for 26 yards and a touchdown, with the score coming on a short pass to the flat off a nicely designed play. Jones isn't a fantasy option right now, but he remains a real-life contributor for the Lions.

T.J. Jones | Free Agent WR

T.J. Jones caught three passes for 26 yards in Sunday's win over the Bucs.

Jones continues to split time with Kenny Golladay behind Marvin Jones and Golden Tate, but he isn't a fantasy option. Detroit hosts Chicago in Week 15.

T.J. Jones | Free Agent WR

T.J. Jones caught four passes for 55 yards in Sunday's win over the Bears.

Jones has had a handful of quality games in 2017, but he's yet to find the end zone through 10 games. Keep him on the waiver wire heading into a matchup with the Vikings.

T.J. Jones | Free Agent WR

T.J. Jones catches both targets in Week 9.

Jones caught both of his targets versus Green Bay, gaining 29 yards in the Lions win. He's not a recommended fantasy option, but Jones has been a reliable target for Matthew Stafford when he's had his number called and is on pace for over 500 yards this season.

T.J. Jones | Free Agent WR

T.J. Jones comes up big for Lions in Week 8.

The Lions didn't come out with the victory, but Jones played very well and worked as a reliable target for Matthew Stafford throughout the game. Jones caught four of eight targets for 88 yards, as he showed toughness while making catches in the Cover 2 hole with the safety crashing down to hit him. This was probably the best game of Jones' career so far, and he'll continue to have a role even if rookie Kenny Golladay (hamstring) is healthy in Week 9.

T.J. Jones | Free Agent WR

T.J. Jones gets nine targets in Week 6.

Jones caught only three of the nine targets, gaining 33 yards against New Orleans. He's not a recommended fantasy option right now, especially with Kenny Golladay (hamstring) likely to come back after the team's bye next week.

T.J. Jones | Free Agent WR

T.J. Jones caught two passes for 12 yards in Sunday's loss.

Jones was the team's third receiver with Kenny Golladay out again, but he couldn't do much in the 27-24 loss. Whether or not Golladay returns in Week 6, Jones isn't a recommended fantasy option

T.J. Jones | Free Agent WR

T.J. Jones catches three passes in Week 4.

Jones received more playing time with Kenny Golladay out, but the rookie Golladay isn't expected to miss much more time. Jones will help the Lions in real life, but he's not a fantasy option.

T.J. Jones | Free Agent WR

T.J. Jones leads the team in receiving on Sunday.

Jones caught three passes for 63 yards, with the highlight being a contested grab over the middle where he was drilled but held onto the ball. The 25-year-old will continue to split time with rookie Kenny Golladay behind Golden Tate and Marvin Jones, so he isn't a fantasy option.

T.J. Jones | Free Agent WR

T.J. Jones caught two passes for 32 yards in the Lions' season opener.

Jones split time with rookie Kenny Golladay behind Golden Tate and Marvin Jones, but Golladay's two-touchdown performance probably locks the rookie into three-WR sets. T.J. Jones can stay on the waiver wire. Detroit plays the Giants next.

T.J. Jones | Free Agent WR

T.J. Jones catches one pass in Week 1 of the preseason.

Jones worked as the third receiver for the Lions, catching a 22-yard pass from Matthew Stafford on the opening drive of the game. The problem (for Jones, at least) is rookie receiver went off for two touchdowns and looks poised to seize the number three receiver role in the offense. Still, Jones will contribute for the Lions.

T.J. Jones | Free Agent WR

T.J. Jones worked with the Lions first team offense throughout the offseason.

Golden Tate and Marvin Jones are locked in as the top two receivers, but with Anquan Boldin gone, there is an opportunity for T.J. Jones to be the third receiver. Big and talented rookie Kenny Golladay and others will also be competing for that spot, but Jones has a veteran advantage as he enters his fourth year in the league. Jones only has 15 career receptions, but averages 15.0 yards per reception. Still, he might struggle making a fantasy impact behind at least Golden Tate and Marvin Jones for targets.

T.J. Jones caught three passes for 49 yards in Sunday's win.

It was Jones' first game of the season, as he was on the active roster with Marvin Jones out. He can stay on waivers.
