WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

Trevor Knight | Cardinals QB

Trevor Knight doesn't throw a pass in preseason game versus Oakland.

The rookie out of Texas A&M just came in the game to run a QB kneel. Hopefully Knight gets some time in the next couple of games, but if not then perhaps he will get a good amount of playing time in the final preseason game.

Trevor Knight | Cardinals QB

Trevor Knight goes 5/14 in Hall of Fame Game.

The undrafted quarterback was 5/14 for 68 yards and had three carries for 12 yards. The athletic Knight, who showed he can sling it, does have some tools that the Cardinals can try to mold.

Trevor Knight | Cardinals QB

The Cardinals signed undrafted quarterback Trevor Knight.

Knight played at both Oklahoma and Texas A&M in college. As a true sophomore at Oklahoma, Knight threw for 2,300 yards with 14 touchdowns and 12 interceptions, along with 339 yards and five touchdowns rushing. In the 2014 Sugar Bowl, Knight had an outstanding game without doing damage on the ground in a 45-31 win versus Alabama, going 32/44 for 348 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception. However, the next season, he lost the starting job to Baker Mayfield and was able to graduate from Oklahoma in December 2015 so he was eligible to play the next season at Texas A&M as a graduate transfer. With the Aggies, Knight threw for 2,432 yards with 19 touchdowns and seven interceptions, along with 614 yards and ten touchdowns on the ground. While he needs to work on his accuracy (Knight completed 55.5% of his passes in college), he has the tools as a developmental prospect. Knight also has the athletic ability to possibly contribute or switch to other positions in the NFL. The Cardinals are a good spot for him.
