WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

Ty Johnson | Jets RB

The Jets claimed Ty Johnson.

New York already has Frank Gore, La'Mical Perine, and Kalen Ballage at running back behind Le'Veon Bell, so perhaps the starter isn't a lock to return next week from his hamstring. Johnson could also be viewed as a potential contributor on special teams for the Jets.

The Lions released Ty Johnson.

Detroit is extremely deep at running back, so perhaps Johnson will land in a better spot to potentially get some playing time moving forward.

Ty Johnson cleared concussion protocol.

Johnson has been removed from the Week 11 injury report and is good to go for tomorrow's game against the Cowboys. The dynamic rookie running back gives the Lions a boost, but J.D. MsKissic is the preferred fantasy option if you need a FLEX option for your lineup.

Ty Johnson | Jets RB

Ty Johnson (concussion) is officially listed as questionable for Week 11.

Johnson was able to work his way up to a full practice today, so he appears to be getting close to clearing concussion protocol. If active, Johnson would be in the deep-league FLEX mix, but J.D. McKissic looks like the preferred fantasy option either way.

Ty Johnson (concussion) has been ruled out for the rest of today.

Johnson has been ruled out to start the second half. Before leaving, the rookie running back had five carries for 16 yards and one carry for three yards. J.D McKissic should get a good amount of work for the remainder of today at Chicago.

Ty Johnson is being evaluated for a concussion.

This obviously explains why Johnson went into the locker room without his helmet. The rookie running back will need to pass the concussion test before he can return to today's game. J.D. McKissic is currently handling most of the backfield work for Detroit with Johnson out.

Ty Johnson heads to the locker room.

It's unclear what Johnson is dealing with, but he was walking to the locker room without his helmet. We'll update you when more information becomes available on his status. Detroit is already short on running backs as is, so losing Johnson would be huge without Matthew Stafford under center today.

Ty Johnson | Jets RB

The Lions have selected Maryland running back Ty Johnson in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Johnson averaged 7.7 in his final season for the Terrapins, and his 4.40 speed shows he can bring some big-play upside behind Kerryon Johnson. As a rookie, though, Johnson is unlikely to have much of a role behind last year's second-round pick and new addition C.J. Anderson, so he won't be on the radar in redraft leagues.
