WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

Tyler Huntley | Ravens QB

The Ravens have tendered Tyler Huntley.

Huntley looked good while filling in for Lamar Jackson for much of the latter part of last season, so this is not surprising. Huntley is a tremendous backup option for Jackson given the similar playing styles. Teams still might be interested in Huntley as a restricted free agent, but we'll see what happens.

The Ravens have activated Tyler Huntley from the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Huntley could be in line for another start if Lamar Jackson (ankle) is unable to go, and it sounds like that might be the way things are trending based on how the former NFL MVP looked at practice. If so, the second-year quarterback will carry significant upside because of his dual-threat ability, which would make him a borderline QB1 against the Rams.

Tyler Huntley is being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, according to NFL Network.

Huntley missed practice yesterday with what was deemed a non-COVID illness, but that’s apparently not the case, and he’s out for Sunday. If Lamar Jackson (ankle) can’t go, Josh Johnson would draw the start versus Cincinnati with fist place in the AFC North on the line.

The Ravens are signing Utah quarterback Tyler Huntley.

Huntley played well for Utah last season, helping the Utes become serious College Football Playoff contenders for much of the season. The Ravens obviously have reigning league MVP Lamar Jackson at quarterback and a strong quarterback room overall, so the practice squad might be where Huntley ultimately lands in 2020 if he remains in Baltimore.
