WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

Zach Wilson | Jets QB

Zach Wilson (knee) will start in Week 12.

Wilson has been fully cleared from his knee injury, and it happens just in time with Joe Flacco and Mike White landing on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Wilson missed the past five games with his knee injury, and it'll be good to see the No. 2 overall pick back on the field for the final stretch after he watched from the sideline for a little bit.

Zach Wilson | Jets QB

Zach Wilson (knee) is expected to miss two-to-four weeks.

Wilson is dealing with a sprained PCL, which was the hope/expectation, and it thankfully appears to be in the lower side in terms of severity. Mike White will take over for quarterback of the Jets for at least the next couple of games, and hopefully Wilson can put together a strong final stretch of his rookie season when he returns to the lineup.

Zach Wilson | Jets QB

Zach Wilson (knee) has been ruled out for the rest of Week 7.

This isn't a good sign, but hopefully the Jets are playing things safe and the injury isn't too serious. Before leaving, Wilson was 6/10 for 51 yards against the Patriots.

Zach Wilson | Jets QB

Zach Wilson (knee) is questionable to return.

Wilson headed to the locker room, and Mike White is in to replace him. Hopefully the rookie isn’t dealing with a significant injury, and we’ll have an update when available.

Zach Wilson | Jets QB

The Jets have selected BYU quarterback Zach Wilson with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Wilson steps in as the new face of the franchise in New York, and he will hope to be the long-term answer at quarterback with the team not reaching sustained heights with Mark Sanchez (No. 5 pick in 2009) and Sam Darnold (No. 3 pick in 2018) in recent history. The primary trait that should excite fans about Wilson is his undeniable arm talent, and he also brings an improvisational skillset to make plays when things break down—the combination of which has some comparing him to Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers. In his final season at BYU, Wilson threw for 33 touchdowns with just three interceptions, and the perimeter skillsets of Corey Davis and Denzel Mims should be a great match. The full scouting report for Wilson can be read in the link below, but from a fantasy perspective, he projects to be ranked below Trevor Lawrence and whoever San Francisco drafts to start his career in terms of both redraft and dynasty value.
