First, if you missed it, our Fantasy Consigliere 2024 Fantasy Football Draft Guide is now available on Amazon. You can get it in either paperback or Kindle versions. Short of signing up for Fantasy Consigliere, this is our top resource to prepare for the fantasy football and NFL season.

Also, the annual NFL Expansion Series was released last week. It’s a four-part series that dives into what an NFL expansion team might look like in 2024, from picking the city and staff to the expansion draft to building the roster. You can read each part in the links below:

Highlights include Bill Belichick as the team’s head coach, Mike Williams and Tre’Davious White among expansion draft selections, and quarterback Caleb Williams as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Justin Jefferson headlines huge extensions

Four wide receivers received extensions last week, headlined by Vikings superstar receiver Justin Jefferson getting a four-year $140 million extension. The $35 million per year eclipses 49ers pass rusher Nick Bosa’s mark to make Jefferson the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history. Plenty of (apparently unfounded) trade rumors swirled this offseason, but this agreement keeps Jefferson in Minnesota through the 2028 season.

The Dolphins signed Jaylen Waddle to a three-year, $84.75 million extension.

And the 49ers agreed to a two-year, $15.4 million deal with Jauan Jennings, who was a restricted free agent. Jennings is a trusted target of quarterback Brock Purdy and does a ton of dirty work for San Francisco.

Changes coming to OTAs?

The NFLPA is working on a proposal to overhaul offseason training dates as soon as next offseason, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. Essentially, an OTA-style ramp-up period would be moved from late-spring to just before training camp, giving players more of a break from the end of the season until they must report back to their teams.

There is speculation that the NFL could use this to help get an 18-game regular season.

Bears to be featured on Hard Knocks

Hard Knocks is headed to Chicago, with fans getting insight into Bears training camp this summer on HBO and streaming on Max. No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams will be the first-ever top overall pick featured on the show as a rookie.
