FOX Announces NFL Playoff Games And Super Bowl LVII Will Be In 4K

This morning, FOX Sports revealed their roadmap to Super Bowl LVII by announcing all postseason games will be produced in 4K—starting this weekend with Super Wild Card Weekend through the Big Game on February 12.

FOX also notes that they will be the first network in 40 years to have two Wild Card Round games, two NFC Divisional Round games, the NFC Championship Game, and a Super Bowl. The full press release can be viewed here.

The biggest takeaway—coming on the heels of ESPN not broadcasting the CFP National Championship in 4K—is that FOX will be the first network to broadcast an entire NFL postseason in 4K, which is great news for fans that have been clamoring for NFL games to be available in the format.

Previous years of FOX producing Thursday Night Football in 4K should result in a very smooth operation over the next month, and it all starts on Saturday with Seahawks-49ers at 4:30 PM ET.
