Tick tock. HBO just released the first official teaser trailer for its upcoming series Watchmen, giving fans their first look at footage from the show based on the classic DC graphic novel by the British trio of writer Alan Moore, artist Dave Gibbons, and colorist John Higgins.
The teaser gives a chilling look at the alternate history where superheroes are treated as outlaws. Zack Snyder directed a Watchmen film in 2009, which drew praise from both fans and critics, but the HBO series will be a fresh take in the modern-day as opposed to it being set in 1985 like the graphic novel and movie.
Watchmen stars Regina King, Jeremy Irons, Jean Smart, Don Johnson, Tom Mison, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Yahva Abdul-Mateen II, Andrew Howard, Frances Fisher, Hong Chau, Jacob Ming-Trent, Dylan Schombing, Sara Vickers, and James Wolk. Executive producer Damon Lindelof is the showrunner.
This is the first superhero television series HBO has ever created. As the all-time great series Game of Thrones comes to an end in less than two weeks, Watchmen could be the premium network’s next big hit.
Watchmen will premiere on HBO in fall 2019.
Looks great.
Better then season 8
No.
