Whether you like the Marvel Cinematic Universe or not, the past ten years of 18 films all leading up to their magnum opus, Avengers: Infinity War, is very impressive and truly awesome. In honor of today’s release of the huge third Avengers movie, we’re ranking each member of the team in the MCU. Everyone has their own opinion, so we’d love to hear what you think in the comments below.
16. Quicksilver
Quicksilver is a fairly easy choice for the last spot on the list, and it’s unclear if he’ll be in Infinity War or not.
15. Falcon
Nothing against Anthony Mackie, who does a good job portraying Falcon, but there simply isn’t much damage he’ll do against Thanos.
14. War Machine
War Machine was probably a more important member in the beginning of the MCU.
13. Ant-Man
Ant-Man falls in line with 13-15. All three heroes are likable and bring good levity, but they simply are not up there with the best Avengers.
12. Vision
Vision was a late entry compared to some of the other Avengers, and like some others he started out as a villain.
11. Scarlet Witch
Wanda Maximoff has had a bigger role than her brother Quicksilver, and she is one of the more potent Avengers on the list.
10. Hawkeye
Hawkeye has been around since near the very beginning of the MCU, and he’s an important and beloved character by many. Despite his marksmanship, he doesn’t have the super abilities on the level of the group’s top members.
9. Bucky Barnes
There might not be an Avenger that’s had a more unusual path than Bucky Barnes, who is about as powerful as any of the heroes.
8. Hulk
The Hulk would be higher if he was in his giant green form all the time, but Bruce Banner isn’t quite as good of an alter-ego.
7. Black Widow
She’s a founding member of the Avengers, but Black Widow has yet to get her own movie. It looks like a movie for one of the better Avengers could be coming soon, though.
6. Doctor Strange
Doctor Strange is a member of the Illuminati, so he couldn’t be ranked too low. He’s also become a very key member of the team in a short time.
5. Black Panther
Chadwick Boseman’s character has quickly gotten up there as one of the Avengers’ most popular heroes, and his superhuman capabilities make him one of the most powerful.
4. Spider-Man
He is new to the MCU and the Avengers in general, but Spider-Man has long been one of Marvel’s most iconic characters. In terms of power, Spider-Man wouldn’t be up this high; but he’s a great hero.
3. Thor
A lot of the members could be re-arranged throughout the list, but the top three is pretty much locked in. Thor is a god, which pretty much sums him up.
2. Captain America
Captain America was not a founding member of the Avengers, but he lives up to the “Captain” part of his name as perhaps the main leader of the group.
1. Iron Man
He’s not number one when it comes to powers, but the Marvel Cinematic Universe started with Iron Man back in 2008. It’s been a rollercoaster ride, but Tony Stark is the top member of the Avengers.
Black Panther is overrated off the one movie
Cap #1
Not bad.
DC would be so much better if they could get it together..
