Over the weekend, Lindsay Lohan made it known that she wants to play Batgirl in Joss Whedon’s upcoming DC film, which doesn’t have a known lead yet. Lohan instantly received a ton of criticism for suggesting herself for the part, but she’s still only 31 years old and it would not be the first time someone with a bit of a troubled past played a big part in a superhero franchise (Robert Downey Jr.). In all likelihood, Lohan will not be in consideration for the part, but these ten actresses might bring Batman’s female counterpart to the big screen.
Emma Stone
The name most people seem to want for the part of Batgirl is Academy Award winner Emma Stone. Her salary has vaulted up to that of the highest paid actresses in the world, but DC might decide they need to go with someone that’ll get the critics on board. Stone has shown the versatility throughout her career to pull off the part.
Jane Levy
DC might opt to go for a lesser-known actress, in which case Jane Levy would be a good selection. Levy played the lead in 2016’s very successful Don’t Breathe, and she could be a household name soon.
Evan Rachel Wood
While the history between the current Batman, Ben Affleck, and Evan Rachel Wood isn’t good, Affleck’s time as Batman might be over soon if he decides to hang it up; and the Batgirl film might not even need Batman in it. She clearly has the acting ability and would add a little flair to the part.
Rose Leslie
The Scottish actress perhaps best known for her role as Ygritte in Game of Thrones (and is getting married to Jon Snow in real life) is another popular choice for Batgirl. Rose Leslie has shown she can perform the action sequences necessary for the role.
Alison Brie
Alison Brie is very well known with a lot of parts over the last several years, and she seems like a fit for Batgirl. Brie has already been in The Lego Movie, which features some superheroes, as Unkitty, and has a prior relationship with Warner Bros.
Zoey Deutch
If DC decides to go in a younger direction, Zoey Deutch would be perfect. Deutch is only 23, and starring in a Batgirl movie could vault her into superstardom.
Alicia Vikander
Based off the trailers, Alicia Vikander looks like she is going to be excellent Warner Bros.’ upcoming Tom Raider. Some want her husband Michael Fassbender to play Batman, so it’d be an interesting combo if Affleck leaves. Perhaps playing both Lara Croft and Batgirl would be a bit much, though.
Jessica Biel
Jessica Biel was in the running for Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises, so she might be interested in a similar role by playing Batgirl. Ultimately, Biel might decide to wait it out for a potential role as Catwoman in this DC universe.
Holland Roden
Again, if DC is looking to go with an actress that might not be as well-known as some of the other potential Batgirls, Holland Roden would be a good choice. It’s not all about looks, but Roden has the red hair that would appease many fans of the comics.
Isla Fisher
Yes, Isla Fisher at 41 years old is the oldest actress on the list. But she could pass as a 20-something-year-old and already has the chemistry with Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) from Keeping Up with the Joneses. Fisher also looks the part of a red-headed Batgirl. Plus, we know this universe has a veteran Batman already.
not feeling Emma stone
All would be great but I think Deutch or Roden would be the best choice

Zoey Deuch please
hope this movie is good
