Top Ten Tuesday: Batman’s Best Batsuits Throughout Film

Last week, The Batman director Matt Reeves shared the first look at star Robert Pattison in the Batsuit. Naturally, this week’s Top Ten Tuesday goes over the best Batsuit looks in film, excluding Pattison’s upcoming costume, which looks excellent based on first glance. 10. Batman Forever Suit

Known as the “Panther Suit”, the Batsuit in Batman Forever had a bold dark look—too bad the move itself did not take the same tone.

9. Justice League Tactical Suit

Some might argue the goggles weren’t a great look, but the tactical Batsuit in Justice League was mostly like an upgraded version (in terms of function, not look) of the film’s main costume.

8. Batman Begins Suit

Derived from a costly unused military suit design created by Wayne Enterprises, the original suit in Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy was a very strong starting point for Gotham City’s hero.

7. Batman Returns Suit

The Batsuit in Batman Returns was much like the one in Batman, but it added more of a technical touch.

6. Justice League Suit

Similar to the Batman v. Superman main suit, the Justice League Batsuit added some more armor to a silhouette that remained mostly the same aside from some minor changes.

5. Batman v. Superman Knightmare Suit

You can debate the quality of his movies, but Zack Snyder was masterful in getting the “look” of Batman down in Batman v. Superman. The Knightmare suit in Bruce Wayne’s dream sequence is no exception.

4. Batman v. Superman Armored Suit

To take on Superman, Batman needed some serious reinforcements, from his weaponry to his suit. The armored Batsuit in Batman v. Superman was a tank.

3. Batman (1989) Suit

When people think of the Batsuit, they very well may think of Tim Burton’s original go at the look of the Caped Crusader in 1989’s Batman, the film that helped make the character more iconic than ever.

2. The Dark Knight Suit

Also sported in The Dark Knight Rises, Batman’s updated suit in The Dark Knight looked realistic and awesome while also helping him take out the Joker with a technically-useful fins/blades on his gauntlet.

1. Batman v. Superman Suit

Inspired by The Dark Knight Returns graphic novel Batsuit, Ben Affleck inarguably looked the part of Batman in his main Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice suit.
