Zack Snyder Is Stepping Away From ‘Justice League’ After Family Tragedy

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Zack Snyder revealed that he will not finish directing Justice League. In March, Snyder’s daughter, Autumn, died by suicide, and the family had kept it private while Snyder and his wife Deborah continued to work on the film. Now, Snyder will “step back” and spend time with his family and kids.

THR says Snyder completed a rough cut of Justice League and wanted to film additional scenes, but decided it was time to come home (the scenes are shot in England).

Joss Whedon (The Avengers) will finish directing the rest of the film, staying within the “tone” and “template” set by Snyder.

The film is still expected to release on November 17, 2017.

The Snyder family is in our thoughts and prayers.
