Join now >Keke Coutee (hamstring) was officially a limited participant in today’s practice.
Coutee has been limited in practice basically all season, but the Texans could really use him back on the field soon after Demaryius Thomas’ Achilles injury. Expect Coutee to remain limited the next two days, but we’ll let you know if anything changes.

Demaryius Thomas (Achilles) has been placed on injured reserve.
Thomas went down in Sunday’s loss to the Eagles, and his absence will create a huge hole for the Texans across from DeAndre Hopkins. Of course, the team traded for DT to fill the hole created by Will Fuller’s season-ending knee injury, and it’s possible they now rely on rookie Keke Coutee to kick outside with DeAndre Carter staying in the slot for a potential playoff run. Thomas, who turns 31 on Christmas Day, can be released in the offseason and not negatively impact the cap, so he might not only face a long rehab process, but also be looking for a new team next year. Overall between Houston and Denver, Thomas caught 59 passes for 677 yards and five touchdowns this season. We wish him the best in his recovery.

T.Y. Hilton (ankle) is officially listed as questionable for Week 17.
While he’s listed as questionable again, there’s no doubt Hilton will be playing in a must-win de facto playoff game against the Titans on Sunday night. While he might not be quite 100%, don’t hesitate to insert Hilton into fantasy championship lineups.

Dante Pettis is done for the year with a sprained MCL, according to Adam Schefter.
This should be seen as good news for the rookie, as the injury looked like it could have possibly been more serious. Pettis ends his first campaign with 27 receptions for 467 yards and five touchdowns, but he really emerged late in the year, going for lines of 4/77/1, 5/129/2, 4/49/1, and 5/83 before leaving Sunday’s game early. The 2018 second-round pick could open next season as the team’s No. 1 receiver, but San Francisco will undoubtedly add more talent to the room. Pettis should have a full offseason once his knee heals up.

Lamar Miller (ankle) was officially limited in today’s practice.
Miller didn’t make the trip to Philadelphia for Houston’s Week 16 loss despite practicing on a limited basis all last week, which might indicate he’s not that close to returning. Miller will likely remain limited the next two days, but we’ll let you know if he misses practice or is upgraded to a full participant.

Matt Breida (ankle) is done for the season.
Breida has played through everything this year, but another re-aggravation of his ankle injury will keep him out in the finale against Los Angeles. The second-year back finishes 2018 with 153 carries for 814 yards (5.3 YPC) and three touchdowns, also chipping in a 27/261/2 receiving line in 14 games. San Francisco will likely have Jerick McKinnon back next year, but Breida has more than earned a role in Kyle Shanahan’s offense, and he should be a value in fantasy drafts next summer.

Cameron Brate catches two passes in Week 17.
Brate gained 39 yards on his two receptions versus Atlanta. Brate’s season ends with 30 receptions for 289 yards and six touchdowns, as he didn’t emerge as a great TE1 option even after O.J. Howard was placed on injured reserve. The 39 yards in the Week 17 loss were actually Brate’s most all season. Despite signing a big contract extension last offseason, Brate doesn’t have a ton of fantasy value heading into 2019.
