LeSean McCoy | Retired RB

Bills bench LeSean McCoy in Week 16.

McCoy carried six times for nine yards along with three receptions for ten yards against the Patriots. It’s unclear why McCoy was benched, but he must’ve done something wrong after the veteran running back admitted Bills head coach Sean McDermott did the right thing by putting him in his place. McCoy probably won’t be benched for Week 17 against Miami, so he’ll be in the FLEX mix with fantasy titles on the line.

David Njoku | Browns TE

David Njoku caught three passes for 73 yards and a touchdown in Sunday’s win over Cincinnati.

Njoku caught a jump ball in the end zone from three yards away to get started, but he was pretty quiet the rest of the day until a game-sealing catch-and-run for 66 yards that he nearly housed. The best two games of the year have now come against the Bengals, and Njoku will look to finish on a high note next week against Baltimore, who he caught six passes for 69 yards against back in Week 5. The Ravens remain vulnerable against opposing tight ends, so the 2017 first-round pick will be a solid TE1.

12/24/18 - 11:45 AM ET

Keith Ford | Packers RB

Keith Ford gets nine touches against the Patriots.

Ford carried seven times for 33 yards and caught two passes for 14 yards in the Bills’ Week 16 loss. LeSean McCoy was benched in the game, so Ford took over as the leader in the backfield. McCoy’s benching probably won’t last into Week 17, though, so Ford is not a recommended fantasy option to conclude the season.

12/24/18 - 11:45 AM ET

Josh Allen | Bills QB

Josh Allen throws two interceptions against the Patriots.

Allen was 20/41 for 217 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions along with five carries for 30 yards in his first matchup with Bill Belichick’s defense. New England did a nice job of limiting the rookie quarterback, who is dealing with a shortage of weapons on offense especially after LeSean McCoy was benched. Allen’s score was a 31-yarder to Zay Jones in the fourth quarter. Next week to end his rookie season, Allen is back in the QB1 mix against a Dolphins team he had two passing touchdowns and 135 rushing yards against a few weeks ago.

12/24/18 - 11:43 AM ET

Breshad Perriman | Free Agent WR

Breshad Perriman caught two passes for 76 yards in Sunday’s win over the Bengals.

Perriman led the team in receiving, but the highlight actually came on a perfect pass by Jarvis Landry for a 66-yard gain. The chip-on-the-shoulder mentality for Cleveland’s squad might mean Perriman—a former first-round pick of the Ravens—will get some extra opportunities against his original team next week in Baltimore, but he’s just a flier for those that need a big game in the fantasy championship.

12/24/18 - 11:42 AM ET

Duke Johnson Jr. | Free Agent RB

Duke Johnson handles eight touches in win over the Bengals.

Johnson caught six-of-six targets for 54 yards, also adding two carries for 12 yards. The Browns got their receiving back more involved this week despite playing with a lead all day, so we’ll see if that continues next week against the Ravens. Johnson is just a PPR FLEX option.

12/24/18 - 11:40 AM ET

Nick Chubb | Free Agent RB

Nick Chubb goes for fourth 100-yard game of the season as Cleveland improves to 7-7-1.

Chubb rushed 19 times for 112 yards, also adding two receptions for three yards. Unfortunately, for as well as the rookie ran, he couldn’t find the end zone with Cincinnati being unable to stop the passing attack in scoring territory. Chubb is now at 972 yards on the season, though, and you can be sure Cleveland will get him over 1,000 yards next week in Baltimore. Also, the Ravens have shown some vulnerability against the run, so Chubb will remain a rock-solid RB1 for those still competing in fantasy title matchups.
