Fantasy News

Chris Hogan | Retired WR

Chris Hogan did not catch a pass in Week 16.

In Josh Gordon’s first game out of the lineup for the Patriots, the team took a run-heavy approach against the Bills. Hogan will still be asked to make big plays for New England, especially with Gordon out, but he’s incredibly difficult to trust in Week 17 fantasy lineups given his zero-point floor.

C.J. Ham | Vikings FB

C.J. Ham handles one carry in win over Detroit.

It went for one yard. Ham isn’t a recommended fantasy option as Minnesota’s fullback.

Adam Thielen | Panthers WR

Adam Thielen caught five passes for 80 yards in Sunday’s win over Detroit.

He also rushed once for a three-yard gain. Thielen sparked the offense on a 40-yard reception in the second quarter to set up Minnesota’s first touchdown of the day, but it was Kyle Rudolph (9/122/2) that finally emerged to carry the passing attack. Now, the Vikings will lock up a playoff berth if they can beat the Bears in Week 17, so Thielen should be a big factor despite a tough matchup. Consider him a low-end WR1.

12/24/18 - 12:14 PM ET

Julian Edelman | Retired WR

Julian Edelman scores against the Bills.

Edelman caught six passes for 70 yards and a touchdown in New England’s Week 16 victory. The touchdown was a 32-yarder where Edelman showed great awareness after getting up while being brought down without any body part actually touching the turf; he got up and ran to the end zone for six. Edelman will offer about as solid of a floor as anyone in Week 17 fantasy lineups, so keep him locked into championship lineups when he faces the Jets.

12/24/18 - 12:14 PM ET

Phillip Dorsett | Free Agent WR

Phillip Dorsett gets two touches in Week 16.

Dorsett carried two times for 13 yards against the Bills. Always ready when called upon, Dorsett is a much better real-life contributor than consistent fantasy asset heading into Week 17.

12/24/18 - 12:12 PM ET

Latavius Murray | Free Agent RB

Latavius Murray handles 11 touches in Week 16 win.

Murray rushed nine times for 22 yards, also adding two receptions for six yards. Those in redraft leagues can probably drop Latavius heading into the season finale as Minnesota faces a stout Chicago front, but he will look to make an impact as a change-of-pace option and goal-line runner with the Vikings looking to lock up a playoff spot.

12/24/18 - 12:11 PM ET

Rex Burkhead | Free Agent RB

Rex Burkhead gets 17 touches against Buffalo.

Burkhead carried 13 times for 39 yards along with four receptions for 40 yards in the Patriots’ Week 16 victory. With Josh Gordon out of the lineup for New England, it’s possible Burkhead remains a bigger part of the offense moving forward. He could deliver some FLEX value in Week 17 against the Jets, but he carries some risk in fantasy championship lineups.
