Andrews caught two passes for 83 yards, including the highlight score in the third quarter where Lamar Jackson hit him perfectly in stride and the rookie did the rest as he showed impressive speed to sprint for six. Cleveland will be an attackable matchup in the season finale as Baltimore looks to potentially win the AFC North, but Andrews won’t be anything more than a low-end TE2 option.

Travis Benjamin gets two touches in Week 16.
Benjamin caught one pass for 11 yards and had one carry for six yards in the Chargers’ loss to the Ravens. Benjamin was targeted on Philip Rivers’ final pass attempt of the night on a deep ball to the end zone in double coverage with LA needing two touchdowns to win. The speedy receiver is a better real-life asset for the Chargers than he is a recommended fantasy option.

Kenneth Dixon handles ten touches in win over the Chargers.
Dixon rushed eight times for 28 yards, also adding two receptions for 20 yards. Baltimore’s No. 2 back also lost a costly fumble at the start of the second half that led to a Los Angeles touchdown, but the Ravens fortunately answered right back with a long touchdown pass. Dixon should remain involved in a change-of-pace capacity to Gus Edwards next week, so he’ll be a decent FLEX option.

Melvin Gordon scores against the Ravens.
Gordon carried 12 times for 41 yards and a touchdown along with three receptions for 13 yards in the Week 16 Saturday night loss. The touchdown was in the third quarter on a goal-line attempt. Against one of the league’s best defenses, this was a fine showing for Gordon in his first game back after missing the last three games, but he appeared to be off the field more than usual and might not be quite 100% despite not being listed on the final Week 16 injury report. The Chargers are locked into the No. 5 seed after tonight’s loss, so there’s probably a good chance we don’t see Gordon in Week 17, especially considering he dealt with the MCL injury for the last few weeks.

Gus Edwards handles 15 touches in Week 16 win.
Edwards rushed 14 times for 92 yards, also adding a 13-yard reception. The undrafted rookie ripped off a couple big runs on Saturday night, as the Chargers were focused on not letting Lamar Jackson beat them with his legs. Edwards will be a quality RB2 option for the season finale against a vulnerable Cleveland run defense.

Lamar Jackson, Ravens get huge win over the Chargers, 22-10.
Jackson was 12/22 for 204 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions, also adding 13 carries for 39 yards. The numbers weren’t great for fantasy owners as Los Angeles did a great job containing him as a runner, but the highlight for Jackson was a 68-yard touchdown pass dropped right into Mark Andrews’ arms as he sprinted for six. The rookie is now 5-1 as a starter, and he could have an opportunity to win the AFC North next Sunday against the Browns depending on the outcome of tomorrow’s Steelers-Saints game. Jackson will be a QB1 option for the season finale.

Ravens defense shuts down the Chargers in Week 16.
Philip Rivers was 23/37 for 181 yards and two interceptions along with one carry for one yard in tonight’s loss to the Ravens. Baltimore sacked the veteran quarterback four times and simply played an excellent game defensively while their offense kept the ball away from LA’s offense. The game started with an interception from Rivers on a deep shot to Mike Williams down the right sideline which was slightly underthrown; and then the second interception was on a deep ball to Travis Benjamin in double coverage with the Chargers down two possessions with under two minutes remaining, so Rivers was just trying to make something happen. This was both Rivers’ first game without a touchdown pass and first game without 200 passing yards this season, so obviously fantasy owners that took a chance starting him against the elite defense in fantasy championships didn’t have it pay off. With the Chargers locked into the No. 5 seed in the AFC, there’s a chance Rivers doesn’t play in Week 17.
