Todd Gurley | Free Agent RB

Todd Gurley scores twice in SNF loss to the Eagles.

Gurley rushed 12 times for 48 yards and two touchdowns, also adding ten receptions for 76 yards. The superstar back saw his playing time scaled back in the second half as he dealt with a knee injury, so that will be something to monitor over the final two weeks. Of course, the Rams now have some work to do if they want to clinch a first-round bye in January, which makes it more likely that Gurley remains a focal point for the fantasy championship. Los Angeles will look to snap out of their offensive struggles next week in Arizona.

Mike Gesicki | Bengals TE

Mike Gesicki catches two passes in Week 15.

Gesicki gained 23 yards on his two receptions against the Vikings, including a nice catch-and-run in the flat early in the game. The rookie tight end might get more involved the final two weeks of the season, but he’s difficult to trust in fantasy lineups.

Wendell Smallwood | Steelers RB

Wendell Smallwood leads the Eagles in Week 15 rushing.

Smallwood carried ten times for 48 yards and two touchdowns along with two receptions for nine yards against the Rams. With Corey Coleman (knee) now out for the season, Smallwood received more opportunities than he has for several weeks. Smallwood ran the ball much harder than undrafted rookie Josh Adams, and we would think there’ll be strong consideration to making him the primary ball-carrier the final two games of the season. He has a tough matchup this week against the Texans, though, so overall there’s some risk to insert him into fantasy lineups with championships on the line.

12/17/18 - 12:48 PM ET

Danny Amendola | Retired WR

Danny Amendola leads the Dolphins in Week 15 receiving.

Amendola caught three passes for 30 yards on a team-high eight targets against the Vikings. The veteran receiver isn’t a highly-recommended fantasy option heading into fantasy finals.

12/17/18 - 08:04 AM ET

Jared Goff | Lions QB

Jared Goff, Rams upset by the Eagles, 30-23.

Goff was 35/54 for 339 yards, zero touchdowns, and two interceptions, also adding two carries for 11 yards. The poor month of December continues for Goff, as constant pressure combined with no real separation by his receivers has led to a 1:7 touchdown-interception ratio over the past three games. On Sunday night, Philadelphia simply backed off to avoid allowing big plays, and the Rams probably didn’t take advantage with quick screens until it was too late, and a jump ball in the end zone fell incomplete to end a comeback attempt (LA trailed 30-13) as time expired. Fantasy owners probably need to keep rolling with Goff because an explosion could be coming, but he’s probably more of a midrange QB1 than high-end QB1 for the fantasy championship.

12/17/18 - 12:46 PM ET

Kenyan Drake | Free Agent RB

Kenyan Drake gets four touches in Week 15.

Drake had one carry for six yards and caught three passes for 28 yards versus Minnesota. He looked to be open for a touchdown on a swing pass in the loss, but Ryan Tannehill didn’t appear to see him. Despite the team getting completely outplayed, Drake took responsibility for the loss because he said he missed a couple of pass blocks on a day Ryan Tannehill was sacked nine times. Concerning for Drake’s fantasy value is that Kalen Ballage (12 carries, 123 yards, touchdown) led the backfield after Frank Gore (ankle) left the game. Perhaps the Dolphins will commit to Drake next week, but he’s difficult to trust in fantasy finals in a tough matchup with the Jags.

12/17/18 - 08:03 AM ET

Nick Foles | Free Agent QB

Nick Foles plays well in Eagles’ upset win over the Rams.

In his third start of the season and his first since Carson Wentz’s back injury, Foles was 24/31 for 270 yards and one interception along with two carries for five yards to help get the Eagles back to .500 and remaining in a pretty good position to make the postseason. The numbers weren’t amazing, but Foles played a lot better than they indicate, keeping the offense in positive positions while giving his receivers chances to make plays. His connection with Alshon Jeffery in particular was great, as he didn’t show any hesitation giving the big target opportunities despite a tough matchup against Rams cornerback Aqib Talib. Throughout the game, Foles showed the feel for where to put the ball, and he took more shots deep down the field than the Eagles seemingly have for several weeks. Set to make another start next Sunday against the Texans, Foles is one of the stronger QB2 options against a secondary that can be beat.
