Carson Wentz | Free Agent QB

Carson Wentz throws two touchdowns in Eagles’ win.

Wentz was 27/39 for 306 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception along with a two-point conversion throw in the Monday night victory against the Redskins to bring the Eagles to 6-6 ahead of next Sunday’s big matchup at Dallas. Wentz’s first touchdown was in the red zone to Golden Tate on a play where he scrambled right and made a nice throw in the end zone on the run; and the second touchdown was to Jordan Matthews on a four-yard slant. The interception came when Wentz forced a ball to Alshon Jeffery on a quick slant in the end zone, which Josh Norman easily stepped in front of and picked off. Wentz missed some throws in the game including one to Nelson Agholor on a deep ball and another late in the game to Agholor in the flat, but overall it was as strong performance. Wentz will look to come up big for his team next Sunday as Philadelphia looks to draw even for first in the NFC East. With the Cowboys playing so well defensively, Wentz carries some risk in the first week of the fantasy playoffs.

Colt McCoy | Retired QB

Colt McCoy suffered a fractured right fibula, Lisa Salters of ESPN reports.

His season is now over. He fought through and played AFTER the injury, so you have to admire him fighting through the pain for his team. This is just heartbreaking news for the nine-year veteran who had a great opportunity to attempt to lead Washington to the playoffs in the NFC. Mark Sanchez will now lead the Redskins over the final four-plus games, and the Redskins will have to bring someone else in to join the quarterback room. We wish McCoy the best of luck on his recovery and hope to see him back on the field in 2019.

Colt McCoy | Retired QB

Colt McCoy (lower leg) has been ruled out for the rest of tonight’s game.

McCoy looks to be dealing with a serious injury based on how he was moving around after leaving the game, so this was expected. It’ll be Mark Sanchez, who has played very well since entering the game, leading the Redskins in the second half of their huge game against the Eagles. McCoy’s night ends at 4/4 for 50 yards, and this is obviously a really unfortunate injury for him during his opportunity to try to lead a team to the playoffs. Hopefully his injury isn’t a season-ender.

Colt McCoy | Retired QB

Colt McCoy (right lower leg) is questionable to return against the Eagles.

McCoy appeared to tweak his leg while slipping on a scramble, and he was limping pretty badly and is now headed to the locker room. Mark Sanchez is set to enter the game against one of his former teams.

Malcolm Brown | Free Agent RB

Malcolm Brown is dealing with a clavicle injury.

Rams head coach Sean McVay says Brown could miss some time with the injury that forced him out of yesterday’s win against the Lions. If Brown misses time, Justin Davis and John Kelly would mix in more behind Todd Gurley. We’ll track Brown’s practice status throughout the week.

A.J. Green | Retired WR

A.J. Green is undergoing season-ending toe surgery, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Schefter says the expected surgery will sideline Green three-to-four months and that he should be fully recovered and ready for the start of offseason training. This isn’t a surprise after Green had a setback with his toe injury in yesterday’s loss to the Broncos, and it’s the second season in three years that’s been cut short by injury for Green. His season ends with 46 receptions for 694 yards and six touchdowns in nine games. The Pro Bowl receiver turns 31 in the summer, and there might be some injury concerns about him in 2019 fantasy drafts—but that could allow him to slip and become an excellent value as a WR1 option. It’ll also be interesting to see who Cincinnati’s head coach might be if they part ways with Marvin Lewis after the season, and the quarterback might even change if the Bengals decide to go in a different direction at that position.

Matt Breida | Free Agent RB

Matt Breida (ankle) will miss Week 14.

Breida suffered a new sprain to his troublesome ankle, and he’s finally going to miss a game this season after battling multiple ailments. “Wolverine” has shown he’s an exceptional healer and will hopefully only miss this one game, but there’s certainly a chance he misses more time given he’s been ruled out for this week already. Jeff Wilson, who is coming off 23 touches in yesterday’s game, could be a legit workhorse with Breida out, and he’s a great waiver-wire add for this week.
