Join now >Derrick Henry handles ten touches in Week 12 loss.
Henry rushed eight times for 30 yards, also adding two receptions for 19 yards and a lost fumble (which came at the end of a nice catch-and-run in garbage time). The Titans continue to use Dion Lewis as their starting running back, but he struggled again with seven carries for eight yards, and it’s fair to wonder if Tennessee would be better off feeding Henry down the stretch. The most frustrating moment of Monday night’s loss was a fourth-and-inches in deep in Houston territory that was unsuccessful on a handoff to backup tight end Luke Stocker, who was lined up as a fullback; the next play was a 97-yard touchdown for the Texans that changed the game. We’ll see if Henry is finally fed next week against the Jets, but he’s just a touchdown-dependent FLEX option.

Andy Dalton (thumb) has been placed on injured reserve.
Dalton was injured in Sunday’s loss to the Browns, and his season is now over after the Bengals placed him on IR. The season got off to a promising start for the Bengals, but they have dropped five of their past six games and now sit at 5-6. Dalton finishes his age-30/31 campaign by completing 61.9% of his passes for 2,566 yards and a 21:11 touchdown-interception ratio, and Jeff Driskel will start for the remainder of the season. It will certainly be an interesting offseason in Cincinnati, as they could get a new head coach and quarterback with Dalton owed no money for the final two years of his contract. If he is back as the Bengals starting quarterback in 2019, Dalton will hopefully reach his potential, but for now, Joe Mixon will operate as the team’s offensive centerpiece as they look to turn their season around.

Corey Davis has a productive night, but Titans fall to the Texans.
Davis caught four-of-four targets for 96 yards and a touchdown, also adding a 39-yard rush on a reverse. The No. 5 overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft was able to break loose for a 48-yard score in the third quarter, but Tennessee unfortunately made too many mistakes in a 34-17 loss. Davis has now gone for at least 96 yards and a score in two of the past three games, and he will look to keep it going against an attackable Jets defense next Sunday. Consider the 23-year-old a solid FLEX option.

Jack Doyle is out for the season with a kidney injury.
Colts head coach Frank Reich says Doyle was hospitalized last night because of a serious kidney injury. Thankfully, Doyle is expected to be released from the hospital soon, but unfortunately his season is over. We wish Doyle the best as he recovers from this injury, and we look forward to seeing him back on the field in 2019. His season ends with 26 receptions for 245 yards and two touchdowns in six games, and Eric Ebron (11 touchdowns already this season) will now be locked-in as a solid, every-week TE1, including next week against the Jaguars.

The Lions are placing Marvin Jones (knee) on injured reserve.
Jones was said to be dealing with a bone bruise on his knee, so this is a bit of a surprise. Also, Lions head coach Matt Patricia says he won’t take questions on why Jones is going on IR, so it’s a slightly curious situation. Anyway, Jones’ season ends with 35 receptions for 508 yards and five touchdowns in nine games. Jones is still under contract with Detroit for two more seasons, and we anticipate he’ll be back with the team, but Kenny Golladay looks poised to emerge as the Matthew Stafford’s clear No. 1 receiver moving forward. Jones will likely to be a solid mid-round option in 2019 fantasy drafts, though.

Jeff Heuerman is out for the season.
This is surprising, as it’s unclear when Heuerman was hurt in yesterday’s win over the Steelers. It’s an unfortunate end to a soldi season for the fourth-year tight end, especially after he came on strong in recent weeks including a ten-reception performance in Week 9. Heuerman’s season ends with 31 receptions for 281 yards and a touchdown in 11 games. Matt LaCosse, who caught a touchdown yesterday, is the next man up for Denver, but he’s not a recommended fantasy pickup. We look forward to seeing Heuerman back on the field next season, and we hope he’s feeling better soon.

The Jaguars have benched Blake Bortles.
At 3-8 and last in the AFC South, the Jaguars are giving Cody Kessler, who has played well when given opportunities, a shot. After getting a contract extension in the offseason, Bortles remained inconsistent in 2018. There’s a chance he can reclaim the starting job at some point, but he might be done with the Jaguars regardless of how Kessler plays to end the season.
