Join now >The Lions are signing D.J. Chark.
According to multiple reports, it’s a one-year deal for Chark. The former Jaguars receiver suffered a broken ankle last season, but he’s a former 1,000-yard target at just 25 years old. The Lions came through with a $10 million fully guaranteed with up to $12 million in a type of prove-it deal for the one year. It’s somewhat of a surprise signing, but Detroit was thought of as a team that was going to be aggressive at receiver during free agency. Jared Goff should be in a much better position with the supporting cast this season, assuming everyone can stay healthy.

The Jaguars are signing Zay Jones.
Jones is reportedly getting a three-year deal worth up to $30 million ($24 million base number). Jacksonville continues to be the most aggressive team of the day, surrounding Trevor Lawrence with several upgrades on offense. After adding Jones and Christian Kirk today, Laviska Shenault or Marvin Jones Jr. might be on the move from the Jags at some point before the season.

The Jets are signing C.J. Uzomah.
It’s reportedly a three-year, $24 million deal that the Bengals presumably would not match, so Uzomah is making the move from Cincinnati to New York. The Jets had a need at tight end entering the offseason, and Uzomah will look to be a strong and reliable target for Zach Wilson over the next few years.

The Jets re-signed Tevin Coleman.
Running back is very deep during free agency, so Coleman probably did well to land back with the Jets in an offense he’s comfortable in. The dynamic veteran running back should be a solid complement in the backfield, which is currently expected to be lead by second-year player Michael Carter.

Evan Engram is signing with the Jaguars.
There was curiously a lot of talk about teams wanting to sign Engram as a “slot receiver”, but this landing spot indicates the former first-round pick of the Giants will indeed remain at tight end. Engram has had trouble staying healthy throughout his career, so durability will obviously be a major factor as he looks to become a huge contributor for Trevor Lawrence and the Jags this season. On a one-year prove-it type of deal, Engram will look to stay healthy and cash-in on a long-term deal next offseason.

Teddy Bridgewater is signing with the Dolphins.
Bridgwater is from Miami, so this will be a homecoming for him as he takes the backup quarterback job behind Tua Tagovailoa. Bridgewater’s experience should be a good asset for Tua to lean on, and the Dolphins would be in fine shape to have a steady hand like Bridgewater step into the lineup if needed in 2022.

The Dolphins are signing Cedrick Wilson.
It’s a three-year deal, according to CBS Sports’ Jonathan Jones. This is somewhat of a surprise, as the expectation had been that Wilson would land back with the Cowboys after the Amari Cooper trade. Instead, he’s headed to Miami to play in Mike McDaniel’s offense. We’d think Wilson sees a clear path to playing time as a big reason he’s joining the Dolphins, but we’ll see what his role looks like this summer.
