Join now >Sammy Watkins (foot) barely plays in Week 11.
Watkins was surprisingly active against his former Rams team in tonight’s shootout, but he only played the first series, catching one pass for four yards. After that, Watkins didn’t appear in the game again as he stayed on the sideline with no gloves on. When Watkins was in to open the game, he clearly had a limp to him, so clearly he just really wanted to try and give it a go tonight at less than 100%. If Watkins was healthy he would’ve been a great bet for a big scoring output in a game with over 100 points scored (Chris Conley scored twice in a bigger role with Watkins out), but hopefully he takes the bye week to get healthy for the final five games of the season.

Sammy Watkins (foot) is officially active for Week 11.
This is a shocker, as Watkins looked like he was trending towards not playing after missing practice Friday and Saturday, but he’ll be out there against the Rams team he spent last season with. This is a major boost for Kansas City in a potential shootout, and Watkins is obviously an excellent WR2 option for the game—though there might be some slight risk that he acts as a decoy. Most people left Watkins out of lineups because it looked like he wasn’t going to play, but if you were fortunate enough to wait it out, you can insert the athletic receiver into fantasy lineups for tonight.

The Seahawks designated J.D. McKissic (foot) to return from injured reserve.
McKissic returned to practice today and now has 21 days to get activated to the 53-man roster or remain on injured reserve for the rest of the season. McKissic is returning from a Jones fracture in his foot suffered during the summer. The explosive third-year back isn’t a recommended fantasy pickup in a crowded backfield, but he could help the Seahawks in real life if he’s able to return.

Doug Martin suffered an ankle injury in yesterday’s game.
This explains why he didn’t get work in the second half. The good news is Martin appeared fine on the sideline while cheering on his teammates, and Raiders head coach Jon Gruden says he thinks he’ll be OK. Consider Martin day-to-day for now, and we’ll track his practice status throughout the week.

Jimmy Graham (thumb) plans to play through his injury, head coach Mike McCarthy has announced.
Graham broke his thumb in last week’s loss to the Seahawks, so playing through it would certainly earn the veteran a bunch of respect in the locker room for the 4-5-1 Packers. That said, Graham was already struggling to put up big-time numbers at full health, and the injury obviously downgrades him as a TE1 option. If nothing else, Graham will be an excellent decoy for Green Bay, but fantasy owners might want to scoop someone off the waiver wire if there’s a decent option available.

The Buccaneers are starting Jameis Winston in Week 12, according to multiple reports.
This isn’t surprising after Ryan Fitzpatrick struggled with three interceptions before being benched yesterday. It’s now the former No. 1 overall pick re-taking control of an offense with a ton of talent on it. The spot carries big weekly upside, but it also carries downside given Winston’s interception issues and the chance that Tampa Bay goes back to Fitzpatrick if Winston struggles. However, the Bucs might not have too short of a leash given Fitzpatrick’s struggles, so Winston is certainly in the mix as a streaming option against the Niners this Sunday.

Mark Sanchez is signing with the Redskins, according to multiple reports.
Washington unfortunately needs a backup for Colt McCoy after Alex Smith broke his leg and required season-ending surgery on Sunday, and they are going with Sanchez. The former No. 5 overall pick should be an excellent guy for the quarterback room behind McCoy, but the Redskins will hope the new starter stays healthy, which isn’t a guarantee due to his willingness to run. Sanchez hasn’t appeared in a game since 2016 with the Cowboys.
