Jeff Heuerman scores in Broncos’ loss.

Heuerman caught one pass for four yards and a touchdown against the Chiefs. This was Heuerman’s first touchdown this season, and he’s not a recommended fantasy option at the moment.

Trenton Cannon gets nine touches against the Bears.

Cannon carried six times for ten yards and added three receptions for 12 yards in the Jets’ Week 8 loss. The rookie running back split work with Isaiah Crowell (14 touches, 38 yards), who couldn’t get much going either. Cannon isn’t a recommended FLEX option yet.

Matt LaCosse catches four passes against the Chiefs.

LaCosse gained 29 yards on his four receptions in Week 8. His role isn’t big enough to deliver consistent fantasy value at the moment.

Isaiah Crowell gets shut down in Week 8.

Crowell carried 13 times for 25 yards and added one reception for 13 yards against the Bears. Through eight games, Crowell is on pace for 188 carries, 968 rushing yards, ten rushing touchdowns, 20 receptions, and 164 receiving yards. He’s been major hit-or-miss this season, and it’s difficult to trust him as anything more than a weak FLEX option in fantasy lineups.

Demaryius Thomas catches three passes in Week 8.

Thomas gained 30 yards on his three receptions against the Chiefs, and his seven targets led the team in the Broncos loss. Trade rumors are swirling about Thomas, who acknowledged there’s a chance he’s traded to another team by Tuesday’s trade deadline, so this could have been his last game with Denver. He’s one of the biggest names to watch in the next couple of days.

Sam Darnold throws one touchdown in Jets’ loss.

Darnold was 14/29 for 153 yards and one touchdown along with five carries for 55 yards in the Week 8 loss to the Bears. The rookie quarterback again connected with rookie tight end Chris Herndon for a touchdown. Through eight games, Darnold is on pace for 3,410 yards, 22 touchdowns, and 20 interceptions. Especially with his supporting cast very banged up, Darnold simply doesn’t have enough to deliver consistent fantasy value right now.

Courtland Sutton leads the Broncos in Week 8 receiving.

Sutton caught three passes for 78 yards, including a long of 42 yards, in the loss to the Chiefs in Arrowhead. This is a new career-high in yardage for the rookie receiver, who could be a hot name on waiver wires in fantasy leagues if Demaryius Thomas is traded by the Broncos. He’ll be worth a pickup if DT is out of the mix.
