Drake carried 13 times for 57 yards and added four receptions (on six targets) for 21 yards with a fumble lost in the overtime victory against the Bears. In overtime, Drake was going to punch in a game-winning touchdown, but he fumbled before extending his arms across the goal line, and the Bears recovered. You could see how much Drake cared and was upset with himself, and he received another opportunity after the Bears missed a long field goal; the third-year running back bounced back with a couple of nice gains in overtime to help put the team in position for a game-winning field goal. After the win, Drake was understandably emotional and very relieved on the sideline. Frank Gore appeared to get banged up a bit late in the game, which might be why Drake was in on the goal line carry, but the veteran running back should be fine. Anyway, Drake remains heavily involved on offense despite Gore getting the edge in carries. Consider Drake an RB2/FLEX option for Week 7 against the Lions.

Christian Kirk impresses again as Arizona falls to 1-5.
Kirk caught six passes for 77 yards, and he’s now gone for lines of 7/90, 3/85/1, and 6/77 in three of the past four games. One of the lone bright spots of the season for the Cardinals has been the early returns on their second-round pick, and he should be rostered in all formats heading into a matchup with the Broncos. We’ll see if he can have a big performance in front of a national audience on Thursday night; consider Kirk a decent FLEX play.

Chase Edmonds handles one touch in loss to the Vikings.
It was a four-yard carry, and the rookie wasn’t targeted in the passing game. Edmonds doesn’t need to be owned as a handcuff on a bad offense.
10/15/18 - 10:46 AM ET
Frank Gore totals 119 yards in Dolphins’ win.
Gore worked as the lead ball-carrier for the Dolphins, carrying 15 times (Kenyan Drake received 13 carries) for 101 yards along with one reception for 18 yards agains the Bears. Gore became the first 100-yard rusher versus Chicago this season, as he ran downhill for positive yardage throughout the Week 6 victory. Dolphins head coach Adam Gase has indicated he’s happy with the veteran running back leading his backfield in carries, and there’s no reason to believe that won’t continue in Week 7 against the Lions. The ageless future Hall of Famer is a FLEX option next week.

David Johnson handles 20 touches in Week 6 loss.
Johnson rushed 18 times for 55 yards and one touchdown, also adding two receptions (on five targets) for 15 yards and a lost fumble. Fantasy owners continue to be boosted by touchdowns from the consensus top-five pick in fantasy drafts, but Arizona’s offense is one of the worst in the league, and Johnson is going to keep routinely facing stacked boxes with Josh Rosen under center. That said, the Broncos have allowed a 200-yard rusher in each of the past two games, and Johnson should hopefully be able to run wild on Thursday night against them. Now might be a good time to buy low.

Brock Osweiler leads Dolphins to overtime win against the Bears.
Osweiler was 28/44 for 380 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions along with two carries for eight yards in the Week 6 victory. While Albert Wilson did a lot of the work with catch-and-runs on two long touchdowns, Osweiler went over 200 yards with two touchdowns in the fourth quarter. A bunch of people were making jokes at Osweiler’s expense when it became known that he was going to start for Ryan Tannehill (shoulder), but he basically shut them all up by helping lead Miami to the comeback victory. Tannehill’s status is unclear, but Osweiler would be difficult to trust in Week 7 fantasy lineups if he remains the starter.
10/15/18 - 10:41 AM ET
Josh Rosen, Vikigns fall to 1-5 with 27-17 loss in Minnesota.
Rosen was 21/31 for 240 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception in a tough road environment. One of the lone bright spots for Arizona this year continues to be the connection between the rookie quarterback and second-round receiver Christian Kirk (six receptions for 77 yards), but overall, the Cardinals have been a major disappointment. We’ll see how they do on a quick turnaround to face the Broncos on Thursday night, but Rosen isn’t a recommended fantasy option for Week 7.
