Join now >Leonard Fournette (hamstring) is not practicing today.
It would be a major surprise if Fournette plays this weekend against the Chiefs. Consider him week-to-week for now, but we’ll update you if he’s listed as out, doubtful, or questionable when the official injury report for Week 5 is released on Friday.

Devonta Freeman (knee) is set to return for Week 5.
Quinn previously said he was hopeful that Freeman would be back this week, and he told Atlanta’s 92.9 The Game that he is expected to play against the Steelers this Sunday. Freeman has been trending in the right direction, and—assuming there are no setbacks—he’ll return to a Falcons offense that’s putting up a ton of points the last three weeks. If Freeman is in the lineup, he’d immediately be a solid starting fantasy option in a potential shootout in Pittsburgh. We’ll update you if Freeman ends up being listed on the injury report on Friday.

The Saints released Brandon Tate, according to ESPN’s Field Yates.
Tate was contributing as a punt returner for New Orleans, but the team is going in another direction. The veteran receiver should receive interest around the league.

Rob Gronkowski (ankle) did not practice today.
Gronk might not need practice time to play, but it’d be good to see him listed as a limited practice participant tomorrow. The official injury report for Thursday’s game will also be released tomorrow, and we’ll update you on the All-Pro tight end’s status when it becomes available.

Matt Patricia indicates that Kerryon Johnson’s workload will not increase moving forward.
When asked about the second-round rookie running back’s role on offense, Patricia said “I think we have a lot of really good running backs, and I think we try to use them appropriately. I think Kerryon played a significant amount of the game. He played 20 snaps at 55 (yards), that’s a good amount… there were quite a few reps in there for Kerryon.” Patricia went on to say that running backs tend to slow down if they get too many touches over the course of a season and that “the wear and tear of that position is pretty extreme.” While Johnson is outperforming his teammates in the backfield through four games, don’t expect him to take over as a clear workhorse anytime soon if you take Patricia at his word.

Matt LaCosse catches one pass for 17 yards in Monday night’s loss to the Chiefs.
It was the 26-year-old’s first reception of the season and his first in a regular season game since 2015 with the Giants. LaCosse isn’t on the fantasy radar heading into a matchup with the Jets.
10/1/18 - 11:57 PM ET
Demaryius Thomas comes up short in loss to the Chiefs.
Thomas caught four passes for 24 yards in the 27-23 loss. The Monday Night Football broadcast team didn’t bring it up, but it looked like the veteran slowed down on a would-be game-winning touchdown on the final drive of the game, and the pass instead sailed out of bounds. It will be interesting to see if anyone brings it up this week talking about a missed opportunity for the Broncos after holding a 23-13 lead in the fourth quarter, but Thomas is on pace for an 80/672/4 line through four games. Second-round pick Courtland Sutton getting more playing time wouldn’t be a surprise, but DT remains a FLEX option for Week 5 against the Jets.
