Join now >Kareem Hunt totals 175 yards and a touchdown in Chiefs’ win.
After a relatively slow start the first three games of the season, this was more like the type of game we saw from Hunt during his outstanding rookie year. Hunt had 19 carries for 121 yards and one touchdown along with three receptions for 54 yards in the Monday night victory against Denver. The second-year back consistently broke tackles and moved forward for positive yardage, and his effort was needed with a slow start by the lethal passing attack. Through four games, Hunt is on pace for 284 carries, 1,156 rushing yards, and 12 rushing touchdowns with a 16/236/4 receiving line. Expect him to remain more involved as a receiver moving forward.

Patrick Mahomes leads the Chiefs to comeback win in Denver.
It was a relatively slow start for Kansas City’s electric offense in a tough environment in Mile High, but Mahomes led his team on two fourth-quarter touchdowns drives in a four-point win to improve to 4-0. Mahomes was 28/45 for 304 yards and one touchdown along with three carries for seven yards and a touchdown. Sammy Watkins left the game in the first half with a hamstring injury, and it might’ve taken Mahomes and the offense time to adjust without him. In the second half, Mahomes scrambled around and made big plays down the field with his arm, and his 192 yards outside the pocket are the most in a game in the last ten seasons. One highlight play was on a left-handed pass that he had to throw with the opposite hand because Von Miller was right on his heels and likely would have stripped the ball if he tried to throw it right-handed. Through four games, Mahomes is on pace for 4,800 passing yards, 56 passing touchdowns, zero interceptions, and four rushing touchdowns. Next week against the Jaguars is a tough matchup, but Mahomes has so many weapons and is playing so well that he’s difficult to keep out of fantasy lineups.

Sammy Watkins (hamstring) is out for the rest of tonight’s game.
Watkins left in the second quarter, and the ESPN broadcast says he’s out for the rest of the game. Watkins did not have any catches before leaving against the Broncos, and now we just have to hope this isn’t a multi-week injury. No Watkins would be a blow to Kansas City’s entire offense, and he’s been a very good fantasy option to open the season. More information will become available in the next couple of days.

Sammy Watkins (hamstring) is questionable to return against the Broncos.
Watkins jogged off the field after throwing a block for Tyreek Hill on a screen pass during a second-quarter drive, and he didn’t return for Kansas City’s first touchdown drive of the game. Hopefully the injury isn’t too serious, but Demarcus Robinson will get more time with Tyreek Hill and Chris Conley while Watkins remains out. We’ll update you as more information becomes available.
10/1/18 - 09:00 PM ET
Dante Pettis (knee) is out for Week 5.
Pettis suffered a knee injury on a punt return in yesterday’s loss to the Chargers, and it’s serious enough that he’s already been ruled out for this Sunday against the Cardinals. This is a hit to San Francisco’s receiving depth and return game, but the second-round rookie receiver was not currently a fantasy option in standard leagues.

Le’Veon Bell expects to report to the Steelers during the team’s Week 7 bye, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
Fowler also says that Bell “definitely plans to play football this season.” There was some thought that Bell would not report to the team until after ten games, which would have been the longest possible time he could holdout while retaining his ability to become an unrestricted free agent after the season, but it looks like he’ll instead get acclimated during the bye week in a few weeks. The bye is likely to give Bell enough practice time to get ready for a featured role immediately. However, there is still a chance Pittsburgh just decides to trade Bell before the trade deadline. For now, expect James Conner to carry the load for the Steelers the next two weeks against the Falcons and Bengals, with Bell returning to the lineup in Week 8 against the Browns.
