Join now >Wendell Smallwood handles eight touches in Week 4 loss.
Smallwood rushed five times for 39 yards and caught three passes for 15 yards as the Eagles fell to the Titans in overtime. Jay Ajayi operated as the clear lead back with 15 carries for 70 yards, but Smallwood was much more effective on limited touches, and it’ll be interesting to see if he earned a larger role—even if Corey Clement (quad) and Darren Sproles (hamstring) return—in Week 5. The third-year back is averaging 5.8 yards per carry on 22 attempts to start the season.

Zach Pascal catches first career touchdown in Week 4.
The 2017 undrafted rookie had a breakout game after catching his first career pass last week against the Eagles, catching six passes for 56 yards and a touchdown against the Texans. Especially with T.Y. Hilton (hamstring) banged up, Pascal is someone to keep an eye on moving forward. He’s worth an add in deeper leagues as someone that could emerge as one of Andrew Luck’s top options. Congrats to Pascal on his first career touchdown.

Jay Ajayi handles 18 touches in loss to the Titans.
Ajayi rushed 15 times for 70 yards and caught three passes for 11 yards in the overtime defeat. With Corey Clement (quad) and Darren Sproles (hamstring) out, Ajayi handed 75% of the team’s running back carries ahead of Wendell Smallwood (25%). Being the starter in a high-powered offense keeps Ajayi on the RB2/FLEX radar for Week 5 against the Vikings, but the matchup combined with the expected returns of Clement and Sproles could make him a risky option next Sunday.

Ryan Grant catches five passes against the Texans.
Grant gained 64 yards on his five receptions in the Week 4 overtime loss. If T.Y. Hilton (hamstring) misses time, Grant might become the top wide receiver for Andrew Luck, which could carry some FLEX appeal. Through four games, Grant is on pace for 72 receptions, 752 yards, and four touchdowns.

Chester Rogers catches eight passes against the Texans.
Rogers was targeted 11 times in the Week 4 overtime loss, gaining 85 yards on his eight receptions. Rogers’ role will increase if T.Y. Hilton (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Week 5, so he’d be in the FLEX conversation particularly for deeper leagues. Rogers’ 16-game pace is 64/536.

Carson Wentz, Eagles fall in overtime to the Titans, 26-23.
Wentz was 33/50 for 348 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions, also adding two carries for eight yards and losing a fumble. Overall, it was probably one of the better days throwing the football of Wentz’s career so far, as he showed excellent accuracy all game, with the highlight being a 56-yard deep ball to Jordan Matthews in stride. He also connected with Alshon Jeffery on a 16-yard score, but three fourth-down conversions by Tennessee in overtime helped them pull off a home upset. Philadelphia returns home for an NFC Championship Game rematch in Week 5, and the way Minnesota has looked this season, it isn’t a shy-away spot for Wentz, who should have a chip on his shoulder after the Eagles won 38-7 without him in January.

Jeremy McNichols gets first career NFL carry in Week 4.
McNichols was drafted in the fifth round by the Buccaneers last season, but he didn’t play a snap as a rookie and ended up on Indy’s practice squad this year. He was just promoted to the active roster for this weekend and carried twice for four yards. The former Boise State running back is not a fantasy option yet.
