Join now >Josh Gordon (hamstring) remains limited in practice.
Seeing Gordon get to a full practice would give us confidence he’ll play this Sunday against the Dolphins, but the good news is Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels says he doesn’t think Gordon will have any trouble picking up the offense—so it sounds like he’ll be used a lot when he gets into the swing of things. We’ll see if Gordon can get up to a full practice tomorrow.

Darren Sproles (hamstring) did not practice today.
This isn’t a surprise for a veteran running back that missed the last two games with a hamstring injury. Sproles is expected to play this weekend, so we’ll see if he progresses to at least a limited practice tomorrow.

Jay Ajayi (back) did not practice today.
Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said he expects Ajayi to play this week after missing one game, so this isn’t a huge concern for the team’s first practice of the week. We’ll update you with Ajayi’s practice status tomorrow.

The Niners have promoted Nick Mullens from the practice squad.
The team officially placed Jimmy Garoppolo on injured reserve, and promoting Mullens to the 53-man roster was a corresponding move. Mullens was undrafted out of Southern Mississippi last year, and he’ll now be the backup to C.J. Beathard. The Niners might bring in a veteran quarterback at some point, but it’s a couple of second-year signal-callers for now.

Charles Clay (shoulder/hip) was limited in practice.
Clay is expected to be ready to go for Sunday against the Packers, but we’ll keep an eye on his practice status this week. The veteran tight end isn’t a recommended starting option in standard-sized fantasy leagues.

LeSean McCoy (rib) says he’s playing this week.
After today’s practice, McCoy said “I’m playing this week. There’s still some pain but I felt good today. I’m ready to go out and get this things going again.” It was apparently a pain-tolerance thing for McCoy, so it’s not like the doctors are going to hold him out because of this rib cartilage injury. He might be limited in practice throughout the week, but the veteran running back will be on the field this Sunday against the Packers. McCoy is a FLEX option for Week 4.

Marvin Lewis says he believes A.J. Green is fine.
Lewis said the injury suffered Sunday was a re-aggravation of an injury suffered while Green was in college, which echoes what Green said after the game. Anti-inflammatories apparently fixed the issue, and there isn’t much concern about Green’s Week 4 status. Expect Cincinnati’s star receiver to be out there this weekend at near 100% against the Falcons.
