Rob Gronkowski | Retired TE

Rob Gronkowski (ankle) was limited in practice.

This is a new injury for Gronk, but we highly doubt it’s anything serious. The Patriots might list Gronkowski as questionable when the official injury report is released tomorrow, but you shouldn’t be worried about his Week 3 status for Sunday night against the Lions.

9/20/18 - 04:13 PM ET

Philip Rivers | Retired QB

Philip Rivers, Chargers cruise to 31-20 win over the Bills.

Rivers was 23/27 for 256 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions. Basically all of the damage was done in the first half as Los Angeles jumped out to a 28-6 lead, and Rivers connected with Mike Williams in the first quarter and then Melvin Gordon twice in the second quarter (all scores came in the red zone). He’s been a great QB1 option to start the year, but fantasy owners might be wise to look elsewhere in Week 3 with a matchup against the Rams on deck.

9/17/18 - 10:25 AM ET

Marcus Mariota | Commanders QB

Marcus Mariota (right elbow) was officially limited in practice.

Titans offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur said Mariota looked as good as he’s looked since the injury, so that’s a big positive. However, this is a nerve issue that can really only be healed by time, and Titans head coach Mike Vrabel already indicated Blaine Gabbert is going to get at least some time this week. Perhaps Mariota will feel 100% ahead of Sunday, but expect Gabbert to be under-center against Jacksonville.

9/20/18 - 04:03 PM ET

Ryan Switzer | Retired WR

Ryan Switzer gets three offensive touches in Week 2.

Switzer had two carries for five yards and one reception for 14 yards against the Chiefs, and he also did well as a punt returner, gaining 67 yards on four returns. Switzer is not a fantasy option at the moment unless your league offers points for return yardage.

9/17/18 - 10:24 AM ET

Alshon Jeffery | Free Agent WR

Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) remains limited in practice.

Jeffery is unlikely to play this Sunday against the Colts, but he continues to work himself back into game shape. He might be declared out ahead of the weekend tomorrow.

9/20/18 - 03:47 PM ET

James Conner | Cardinals RB

James Conner gets 13 touches in Steelers’ loss.

Conner was victim of a pass-happy approach after the Chiefs jumped to a 21-0 first-quarter lead, as he had just eight rushing attempts in the game. Overall, Conner had eight carries for 17 yards and a touchdown while adding five receptions (on five targets) for 48 yards. We don’t expect Le’Veon Bell will return for Week 3, so Conner should remain a great RB1 option against Tampa Bay.

9/17/18 - 10:22 AM ET

Jay Ajayi | Free Agent RB

Jay Ajayi (back) remains out of practice.

Ajayi’s status for Week 3 does not look good despite the fact that he returned to Sunday’s loss against the Buccaneers with the back injury. Plan for Ajayi to miss this weekend against the Colts, but we’ll see how he’s listed on the official injury report for the game when it’s released sometime tomorrow.
