The 2017 fourth-round pick of the Chiefs was released at 53-man roster cuts, and he lands in a good spot with the Redskins. The former Michigan receiver will look to develop and work his way onto the 53-man roster.

Blaine Gabbert plays well in Titans’ win.
With Marcus Mariota not playing because of a right elbow injury, Gabbert helped lead Tennessee to a win against the Texans, going 13/20 for 117 yards and a touchdown. The score was on a quick screen to Taywan Taylor. If Gabbert starts again in Week 3, he’d be very risky in fantasy lineups against the Jaguars.

Rob Kelley (toe) has been placed on injured reserve.
Kelley suffered a toe injury in Sunday’s loss to the Colts, and though he returned to the game, he’s being placed on injured reserve. Assuming Kelley doesn’t return as a designated-to-return player, his season ends with four carries for eight yards in two games, as Adrian Peterson took over as Washington’s lead runner. This injury should open the door for Samaje Perine to becoming an active on game days.

Wendell Smallwood handles eight touches in Week 2 loss.
Smallwood was given an extended opportunity with Darren Sproles (hamstring) inactive, but he failed to take advantage with seven carries for 28 yards and a lost fumble. He also caught a two-yard pass. It would be surprising if Smallwood has any fantasy relevancy this season with Jay Ajayi, Corey Clement, and Sproles all ahead of him on the depth chart.

Dalyn Dawkins has been promoted to the Titans’ 53-man roster.
Dawkins, the nephew of Hall of Fame safety Brian Dawkins, is a rookie out of Colorado State that will serve as depth behind Derrick Henry and Dion Lewis. He is off the fantasy radar, but the five-foot-seven back is someone to keep tabs on in the case of an injury to Lewis in particular.

Marcus Mariota (right elbow) doesn’t play in Week 2.
Mariota is dealing with a right arm injury that’s apparently making it tough for him to grip the football, and Blaine Gabbert played well in the win against the Texans. The Titans have a very tough matchup against the Jaguars next week, so Mariota will be difficult to trust even if he plays in Week 3. Ideally, his star tackles will be available to protect Mariota whenever he does return.

LeSean McCoy has affidavit filed against him.
The affidavit has been filed by Stephanie Maisonet, the mother of McCoy’s six-year-old son. Maisonet is supporting Delicia Cordon, who already filed a lawsuit against McCoy and alleged the Bills running back was responsible for her getting robbed and beaten. Maisonet is alleging that McCoy abused their son and left a bruise. The bottom line is now that two women are coming out against McCoy for alleged abuse, so this probably isn’t going to end well for him. Don’t be surprised if the NFL places him on the Commissioner’s Exempt list soon, and we might not see McCoy back on the field until this is sorted out. Remember, Adrian Peterson served a de-factor year-long suspension for disciplining his son with a switch; that might be the precedent for potential discipline here.
