Drawing the start for Leonard Fournette (hamstring), Yeldon rushed ten times for 58 yards and caught two passes for 13 yards. It wasn’t the performance that fantasy owners that rolled with him wanted, but Jacksonville had to reason to stay on the ground as Blake Bortles seemingly did whatever he wanted through the air. If Fournette is out again in Week 3, Yeldon will remain a low-end RB2/FLEX option against the Titans.

Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring) is questionable to return against the Rams.
With the Cardinals down 27-0 in the fourth quarter and unable to move the ball, it’s very unlikely Fitz returns to this one. Before leaving, Fitz had three receptions for 28 yards, including an outstanding diving catch for a first down. Assuming Fitz’s hamstring is fine, he’ll be a WR1/WR2 option for Week 3 against the Bears.

Rex Burkhead gets six carries in Week 2 loss.
Burkhead started the game for the Patriots, but he appeared to take a clear backseat to rookie running back Sony Michel as the team’s primary runner. Michel played a lot throughout the game, and we don’t think Burkhead played on offense in the second or third quarter. There were no goal-line carries to see who would have gotten the potential touch there, but there’s a chance that’s where Burkhead’s fantasy value will be reliant on moving forward. However, this was just one game, and Burkhead ran the ball pretty well with 22 yards on six carries against a tough Jaguars team. New England’s running back situation will be one to closely monitor next Sunday night against the Lions.

Dalvin Cook says his hamstring injury was just a cramp.
Cook said this to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, who says Cooks says he’s “fine.” This is good to hear, as there shouldn’t be any doubt about Cook’s Week 3 status if it was just a cramp. Cook faces the Bills next Sunday.

Blake Bortles, Jaguars explode in convincing win over the Patriots.
Bortles completed 29/45 passes for 377 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception, also adding six carries for 35 yards in a 31-20 victory. It felt like New England could come back just like they did in the AFC Championship Game last season, but a 61-yard touchdown to Dede Westbrook essentially sealed the game in the fourth quarter. Bortles also connected with Donte Moncrief (four yards), Keelan Cole (24 yards), and Austin Seferian-Jenkings (four yards) in the first half, and his lone interception occurred on a drop. Overall, it was probably the best game of Bortles’ career, and he should be confident heading into a matchup with the rival Titans. However, there are probably better fantasy options to consider at such a deep position.

Dalvin Cook suffers hamstring injury against the Packers.
Cook was injured in overtime, as he sat on the ground and immediately felt something wrong with his leg. Thankfully, it’s a hamstring injury instead of something with his knee, but hamstring injuries can be lengthy. He’s officially questionable to return, but it’s unlikely he comes back this late in overtime. Before leaving, Cook had ten carries for 28 rushing yards and three receptions for 52 receiving yards. More information on the severity of Cook’s hamstring injury should be available in the next day or so.

Sony Michel gets 11 touches in NFL debut.
After missing nearly all summer and the first week of the season with a knee issue, the first-round rookie running back from Georgia immediately had a sizable role in the Patriots backfield, working as the lead ball-carrier in a big matchup with the Jaguars. Michel carried ten times for 34 yards and added one reception for seven yards in the loss. Rex Burkhead started the game, but Michel received most of the carries throughout the game and seems to be the preferred early-down runner for the Patriots. Perhaps New England thought Michel had a better opportunity to pop a long run against a stingy defense, but Michel owner should be excited about this first game. Michel has 15-20 touch potential in a great offense moving forward, so be sure to pick him up if he’s somehow available in your league. We’ll see how much work he gets in Week 3 versus Detroit.
