Join now >Aaron Rodgers (knee) will not practice today.
Rodgers is working with the rehab group, and Packers head coach Mike McCarthy says they’re still just taking things day-by-day. The full expectation is that Rodgers will be ready to go on Sunday, but there’s a chance he doesn’t get much practice time ahead of a tough matchup against Minnesota’s defense—which is not ideal.

Nick Foles will start at quarterback for the Eagles in Week 2.
Head coach Doug Pederson announced his starter during a Wednesday morning press conference, so Carson Wentz is looking at Week 3 (at the earliest) for his season debut. Foles didn’t put up big numbers in the opener, but he gets a much easier matchup against the Buccaneers on Sunday, which makes him a probable top-20 option. Fantasy owners should sit tight with Wentz, who has obvious high-end QB1 potential when he returns.

Andy Dalton, Bengals come out hot in Thursday Night Football victory.
Dalton was 24/42 for 265 yards, four touchdowns, and zero interceptions as the Bengals defeated the Ravens, 34-23. Almost all of the damage was done before halftime, with Cincinnati jumping out to a 28-7 lead. Dalton connected with A.J. Green twice in the first quarter from four yards out and 32 yards out, then again in the second quarter on a short comeback for a seven-yard score. The fourth touchdown was a 14-yarder to Tyler Boyd. So far this season, Dalton has looked great, and he will now have a few extra days to prepare for a matchup with the Panthers. He is firmly on the streaming radar and slowly working his way to QB1 status with a favorable upcoming schedule.

Leonard Fournette (hamstring) is not expected to practice today.
It’s only the first practice of the week, so this was pretty much expected as the Jaguars look to get their workhorse running back ready for Sunday against New England. Hopefully Fournette is able to get in at least a limited practice session tomorrow. Be sure to check in on Fournette’s practice and official game status tomorrow and Friday.

Alex Collins gets 12 touches in Week 2.
Collins started the game for Baltimore, but he split work with Javorius Allen (11 touches) throughout the night, and he lost a goal-line carry that was converted for a touchdown by Allen. Still, Collins ran the ball very well and was reliable as a receiver, also gaining good yardage after the catch. Overall, Collins had nine carries for 35 rushing yards and three receptions for 55 receiving yards. The split backfield and potential of losing goal-line touches to Allen is a concern, but Collins is a solid fantasy option for Week 3 versus Denver.

Josh Allen is starting Week 2 for the Bills, according to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen.
Nathan Peterman drew the start in Week 1 against the Ravens, and there was some thought that he would continue starting against an extremely difficult opening few games of the season for Buffalo. However, after Peterman struggled to get anything going to open the season, the Bills are going with the potent rookie quarterback Allen; also, Peterman threw five first-half interceptions in last year’s matchup against this week’s opponent, the Chargers. In relief last week, Allen went 6/15 for 74 passing yards while adding four carries for 26 rushing yards. Allen is not a recommended fantasy option at such a deep position quite yet, but he’s someone to keep an eye on because of his dual-threat potential.

Joe Flacco throws two touchdowns and two interceptions in Thursday night loss.
Down for the entire game after the Bengals scored 14 points in each of the first two quarters, Flacco threw the ball 55 times against the Ravens. He was 32/55 for 376 yards, two touchdowns, two interceptions, and one fumble lost along with three carries for eight rushing yards. The first interception was in the first quarter on a pass that he threw inaccurately, and the second came when his arm was hit on a deep ball attempt. The touchdowns were to rookie tight end Mark Andrews on a short pass and John Brown on a 21-yard pass to the end zone. The loss drops Baltimore to 1-1, and they’ll get a mini bye before facing the Broncos in Week 3.
