Join now >The Giants signed undrafted tight end Garrett Dickerson.
Dickerson is a local product from Bergen Catholic High School, which is just 13 miles from MetLife Stadium. He went to Northwestern and was an All-Big Ten honorable mention as a senior last year, catching 37 passes for 401 yards and four touchdowns. Dickerson will look to make the Giants roster as a rookie, but he’s not on the fantasy radar at the moment.

The Bears are going to use more run-pass options (RPOs) this season.
This has been known since the Bears hired former Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy as the head coach, and former Oregon head coach Mark Helfrich as the offensive coordinator, but players have talked about it recently. New tight end Trey Burton—who came from the Eagles, a team that used RPOs as a big part of their Super Bowl run last season—said the RPOs are “unguardable.” For second-year quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, he can some RPOs in college at North Carolina, and he should be very comfortable with them in 2018 and beyond. Chicago’s use of RPOs has to be seen as a positive for Trubisky’s fantasy outlook this season.

Ameer Abdullah is expected to return punts and kicks in 2018.
Abdullah averaged 29.1 yards per kick return as a rookie in 2015, and with his role on offense diminishing after the additions of Kerryon Johnson and LeGarrette Blount, he could have a big role as a returner this season. Special teams coordinator Joe Marciano said “yes” when asked if the fourth-year running back could play a bigger role on special teams. Despite having a lot of ability, Abdullah is no lock to make Detroit’s roster. However, contributions on special teams would be huge. For now, expect Abdullah to make the final roster as the team’s primary returner and as someone that will chip in on offense, too.

Tyler Boyd is impressing this offseason.
After a 2017 that was derailed by a knee issue that forced Boyd to miss a few games, he’s apparently been one of the best players at Bengals OTAs. The Bengals have a deep receiving group including A.J. Green, Brandon Lafell, 2017 first-round pick John Ross, and 2017 fourth-round pick Josh Malone, so Boyd is going to need to perform well this summer to carve out a good role on offense. But Bengals coaches have been pleased with Boyd this year, stating that he’s been really impressive, and Bengals.com’s Geoff Hobson expects Boyd to get looks inside and outside and that he “should have a big year.” Boyd had 54 receptions for 603 yards and a touchdown as a rookie before having only 22 catches for 225 yards and two touchdowns in ten games last season. It’s early, but Boyd should be closer to his 2016 numbers this year, and he could become a solid fantasy option particularly in deeper leagues.

Victor Bolden has been suspended for the first four games of the 2018 regular season for violating the NFL’s PED policy.
Bolden appeared in nine games for San Francisco last season, primarily contributing on special teams (he did not receive an offensive touch as a rookie). The 23-year-old will face longer odds to crack the 53-man roster after this news, but if the Niners keep him around in the regular season, he won’t be eligible to return to the team’s active roster until October 1st. Bolden was highly unlikely to make an impact in 2018, so fantasy owners shouldn’t have to worry about this four-game ban.

The Dolphins are expected to have an open competition at running back.
Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald says Drake is expected to be the starter in 2018 after his great finish last season, but the Dolphins haven’t come out and said that the third-year running back will be the guy. Running backs coach Eric Studesville says they “don’t know yet” and that the roles aren’t set right now before going on to say they’ll play “the guy that gives us the best chance to win.” After adding Frank Gore in free agency and Kalen Ballage (who Salguero says the Dolphins “really, really like”) in the draft, Drake has some competition for the starting role. Miami’s backfield situation is an important one to watch this summer, and it could certainly turn into a committee where all three backs split work.

Quincy Enunwa thinks he can eclipse 1,000 receiving yards this season.
Enunwa talked to Manish Mehta of the Daily News and talked about the neck injury he’s dealt with that caused him to miss the entire 2017 season, saying that it originally started back in December of 2015 and gradually got worse. However, he luckily didn’t have to go through any rehab after his surgery, he just had to rest. Enunwa isn’t going to fully participate in training until training camp, as the Jets are taking a cautious approach, but the fifth-year receiver wants to be a “difference maker” in the offense. Enunwa believes he can get 1,000 yards because he “had 857 with Brandon Marshall on the other side” and wasn’t even the No. 2 receiver behind him; and he told Mehta to “imagine” if he was one of the top two receivers on the depth chart. There are a lot of options in the Jets receiving corps, but there should be heavy competition for the top roles. However, Robby Anderson and Jermaine Kearse are probably the favorites as the starters on the outside at the moment—but the team’s receiving situation is one to watch leading up to the season. Enunwa could certainly deliver solid fantasy value in 2018.
