Join now >The Falcons are signing Josh Rosen, according to Jordan Schultz.
Rosen was recently released by San Francisco, but Atlanta could suddenly present an opportunity to be the No. 2 quarterback following AJ McCarron’s season-ending knee injury. That said, we’d still expect the Falcons could be in the market for a quarterback when teams cut their rosters to 53 players.

Travis Etienne (foot) is questionable to return to Monday night’s preseason game.
Etienne was injured on one of his three snaps for Jacksonville, and he seems to be limping pretty good as a spectator despite not being ruled out. This news at least explains why the rookie has barely played behind James Robinson and Carlos Hyde, but hopefully this turns out to be nothing serious. Looking at the situation positively, Etienne is still watching the game from the sideline with his pads on rather than undergoing further testing.

Adam Trautman was carted to the locker room.
It’s unclear when Trautman was hurt, but it appears it might be a foot issue that they will check out in the locker room. More info on Trautman’s status should become available tonight or tomorrow.

Darrell Henderson Jr. is dealing with a sprained thumb.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that it’s not a major thumb injury he sustained during practice today—it’s just a mildly sprained thumb. Henderson should be fine for Week 1, but the durability is a concern entering the regular season despite his huge upside as the lead runner in Sean McVay’s offense.

The Eagles released Hakeem Butler.
The former fourth-round pick of the Cardinals has had a tough time of finding his footing in the NFL, but he remains an intriguing target on offense. We’ll see where he lands.

The Rams waived Duck Hodges.
The former Steelers quarterback will be in search of a new team. This late in the summer, he’d probably do well to land on a practice squad to begin the regular season.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire participated in Chiefs walkthrough.
CEH’s ankle is sore, but he appears to be OK after leaving the Chiefs’ preseason game over the weekend. There doesn’t appear to be any concern over Edwards-Helaire’s Week 1 status, and he’s handled most of the first-team snaps during his limited preseason action this summer.
