Join now >Hue Jackson wants Josh Gordon to be remain on the Browns.
Jackson is speaking at the NFL Combine like the other head coaches in the league, and he said he hopes Gordon is a Brown for “a long time.” The former All-Pro receiver finally got back on the field last season and showed some flashes of the elite talent he possesses, and Cleveland has him under contract still because his multiple suspensions haven’t allowed him to accrue enough playing time to become an unrestricted free agent. Gordon will be back with the Browns next season unless they trade him, and he’ll have massive upside if he takes the offseason to get in tip-top shape and stays out of trouble.

Odell Beckham Jr. will attend the first day of Giants offseason training tomorrow, according to multiple reports.
After weeks of speculation and rumors, Beckham showing up for the start of offseason training with his teammates would be a good sign for his likelihood of remaining with the Giants this season. OBJ will likely have a chance to talk to GM Dave Gettleman and head coach Pat Shurmur, and maybe the two sides can put it out there exactly how they are feeling. Clearly, the Giants are at least open to moving Beckham and something might still happen, but at least things aren’t so bad that Beckham doesn’t want to show up to the facility.

Jordan Howard says last year’s offense was “pretty much basic.”
Howard is excited about new head coach Matt Nagy, stating on NFL Network that last year he felt like “everybody knew what we were going to do, they knew what was coming pretty much every play so it was pretty easy for them to stop us.” The workhorse back says he thinks the new offense under Nagy and new offensive coordinator Mark Helfrich will be “a lot more creative and have defenses off balance.” Through two seasons, Howard is a two-time 1,100-yard rusher, totaling 528 carries for 2,435 rushing yards and 15 rushing touchdowns, and he should remain a 250+ carry guy heading into his third season. Howard would benefit if Mitchell Trubisky and the entire offense take a jump forward in 2018, and the bruising back should have a very good mix of floor and upside in fantasy drafts this summer.

Jameis Winston vows to show how valuable DeSean Jackson is this season.
Winston responded to an article/tweet from the Tampa Bay Times asking what the Buccaneers are going to do with DeSean Jackson, which Winston responded with a tweet that reads “We got this! I personally will make sure we show how valuable [DeSean Jackson] is to our team and @NFL”. With high expectations after Tampa Bay signed Jackson last offseason, he had 50 receptions for 668 yards and three touchdowns in 14 games last season, and his 13.4 yards per reception was a career low. The Bucs were featured on HBO’s Hard Knocks over the summer, and it didn’t appear Winston and Jackson were really clicking. With a season under their belts, perhaps Winston and Jackson will have a better rapport in 2018. Remember, Winston appeared in only 13 games last season and was limited because of his shoulder issue. Jackson has some upside late in fantasy drafts this summer, as he’s still a good player that’s gone over 1,000 yards five times in his career. And he can still run.

Sean McDermott talks up Tyrod Taylor.
The Bills head coach is speaking at the NFL Scouting Combine, and he said the team is comfortable where they are at in regards to the quarterback position. McDermott talked of Taylor being a big part of getting the team to the playoffs last season, and he also added that he thinks Nathan Peterman, who struggled as a rookie, is also a good quarterback. Buffalo does have ammunition to move up in the draft for a quarterback, but it’s no lock they move on from Taylor. Tyrod has a $5 million roster bonus coming up, but the Bills reportedly have no problem paying it, even if they aren’t going to keep him on the roster for 2018.

David Johnson says he still wants to get 1,000 yards rushing and 1,000 yards receiving in a season.
Because Johnson basically missed the entire 2017 season, his great ability as both a runner and receiver might have been forgotten a bit. But heading into last season, Johnson had the goal of hitting both 1,000 yards rushing and 1,000 yards receiving—something only Roger Craig and Marshall Faulk have ever done. When asked about the goal during a media session, DJ said he’s “definitely” trying to get 1,000 and 1,000, stating that it’s one of his goals this year. With former Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians promising to give Johnson a ton of touches each week leading up to last season, the goal seemed very obtainable. Even with the coaching change, it’s still a very real possibility. The Cardinals know they have an elite back that should be fed the ball, and Sam Bradford can get the ball out accurately to his backs as well as anyone. Johnson might not hit his goal, but he should have a monster 2018 season either way if he remains healthy.

Larry Fitzgerald Sr. says Larry Fitzgerald won’t play for anyone but the Cardinals.
Fitzgerald Sr. was on SiriusXM NFL Radio and said his son needs to know where he fits in “the scheme of things” for making a decision on his future. Then Fitzgerald Sr. said when asked if there is any chance Fitzgerald plays for another team: “No…I think if it’s not with the Cardinals we’ve seen the last of Larry Fitzgerald in the NFL.” Fitz has one year left on his contract after he signed a one-year extension during the regulars season, but it’s up in the air whether he’ll return to play under a new coaching staff. If he wants to continue playing, Fitzgerald has certainly shown he still has the ability to be one of the best receivers in the league.
