Join now >Paxton Lynch is working with TB12’s Alex Guerrero.
According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Lynch already worked with Guerrero once and is going to fly up to Foxborough to work with him again in April. Guerrero is Tom Brady’s personal body coach and helped Brady craft the TB12 Method. If you look at the success Brady is having into his 40s, it’s difficult not to love the decision by Lynch to use the methods Brady has used to remain in his prime even as he ages. Lynch should have a great diet, and following the TB12 Method will allow him to workout in ways that will directly translate to the football field. This news comes days after Broncos head coach Vance Joseph said they still believe in Lynch. While many negative people out there might have already counted out the third-year quarterback, Lynch’s career could be on the rise.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports the Jaguars plan to have Blake Bortles as their 2018 starter.
The team picked up Bortles’ fifth-year player option last year, but the 2018 salary was only guaranteed for injury. It sounds like the team is set to keep Bortles, so they might explore trying to sign him to a longer deal that will give him less than the $16 million/year he’s scheduled to make next season. After Bortles played well down the stretch and helped lead his team to an AFC Championship appearance, this isn’t surprising. However, it’s a good bet that Jacksonville will be targeting a quarterback to develop in this year’s draft—likely one of the top 5-6 if any of them are there at pick 29.

The Chiefs signed wide receiver Nelson Spruce.
Spruce is a 2016 undrafted free agent from Colorado, where he set many records as a prolific receiver for the Buffaloes. Spruce has been with the Rams and Bears over the last two seasons, but he dealt with injuries and has not appeared in any NFL games yet. He’ll look to stay healthy and work his way into a role with Kansas City, but he’s off the fantasy radar for now.

Martellus Bennett wants to continue his playing career, according to Ian Rapoport.
During the season, Bennett said he was “pretty sure” he would retire after 2017, but it sounds like he either had a change of heart or was just being dramatic and maybe looking to get out of Green Bay. Now with the Patriots, Bennett is due a $2 million roster bonus at the start of the new league year on March 14, so we could know by then whether he’ll be back in New England for 2018.

The Chiefs signed quarterback Matt McGloin.
The 28-year-old former Raiders, Eagles, and Texans quarterback gives the Chiefs another veteran presence in the quarterback room with second-year player Patrick Mahomes. McGloin might be in a competition with Chad Henne for the backup job behind Mahomes.

Kirk Cousins says money isn’t the only thing he’s worried about.
Cousins was on PFT Live and said while money is certainly part of the equation, he’s more worried about winning and is “going to be willing to make sacrifices or do what has to be done to make sure I’m in the best possible position to win.” Cousins also said he isn’t sure what the Redskins will do, but would sign the franchise tag immediately if they place it on him for a third straight year. No one really knows what the Redskins will do at this point, but Cousins would likely be treated as the league’s top free agent if he hits the open market.

The Jets have signed running back Thomas Rawls.
The former Seahawks running back was not tendered by Seattle, so he was available as an unrestricted free agent. Rawls had an outstanding first year in the NFL as an undrafted rookie in 2015 when he ran for 830 yards (with a league-high 5.6 yards per carry for running backs), but he battled injuries over the last two seasons. Health will be the biggest question mark, but Rawls has a ton of ability when he’s at full strength. The Jets already signed Isaiah Crowell earlier this offseason, and Bilal Powell and Elijah McGuire are both still there, but Rawls might be the best of the group. Still, Rawls is likely going to be third or fourth on the depth chart heading into the preseason, so he’ll need to work his way into a big role on offense.
