Join now >Eric Ebron has signed a two-year deal with the Colts.
Ebron was released by the Lions last week, and he’s decided to join Indianapolis. The former first-round pick will operate alongside Jack Doyle in two-tight-end sets for an offense that will hopefully have Andrew Luck back and healthy, but it probably won’t be enough to provide consistent fantasy value. Perhaps Ebron could rebuild his stock with the Colts. He turns 25 next month.

A.J. McCarron’s grievance case should be decided this week.
Multiple reports indicate the arbitrator’s decision should come sometime between now and Friday after McCarron filed for a grievance late last year. The issue for the Bengals quarterback comes from his rookie season, when he was placed on the non-football injury list at the start of his rookie training camp and did not get on the active roster until December of that season, which was not enough to count for an accrued season toward free agency. McCarron is arguing he was healthy and should not have been on the non-football injury list. If McCarron loses his case, he will be a restricted free agent, which would make it unlikely another team is able to sign him without giving up a lot to Cincinnati. If McCarron wins, he would be an unrestricted free agent and free to sign with any team when the new league year begins in March. This is big for the 27-year-old quarterbacks career as he is looking to show he can be a franchise quarterback for someone as soon as possible.

Cody Latimer signed with the Giants.
Latimer is a 2014 second-round pick of the Broncos that didn’t quite work out for them. In his four seasons with Denver, Latimer caught 33 passes for 445 yards and three touchdowns, though he did just have his best season by far with 19 receptions for 187 yards and two touchdowns. Latimer is only 25 years old and will look to breakout on his second NFL team. He’s not a fantasy option at the moment.

Larry Fitzgerald didn’t tell new Cardinals head coach Steve Wilks whether he’ll play in 2018.
This is not a surprise, as Fitzgerald is going to take his time when making a decision on his future. The Cardinals would almost certainly welcome Fitz with open arms whenever he does make a decision, even if it’s not until after free agency and the draft—which might be what the future Hall of Famer wants to do, as the team has a big question mark at quarterback. Ultimately, we do expect Fitz to make a decision before free agency begins to give the Cardinals time to make any necessary moves.

Cordarrelle Patterson is being traded to the Patriots, according to multiple reports.
Patterson is a elite returner and special teams player, so this could be a sign that New England doesn’t expect to bring back Matthew Slater, as Patterson could be his replacement on coverage units. Offensively, Patterson hasn’t turned into the explosive playmaker that many expected since entering the league, but perhaps he can change things with the Pats. At this point, he’s not worth considering in fantasy drafts.

New Titans receivers coach Rob Moore says the receivers need to “put the work in.”
This isn’t a case of Moore saying the Titans receivers are lazy, but he made it clear they are going to need to work hard so that going out there on the field becomes “second nature” to them. Moore was the receivers coach for the Raiders over the last three seasons, so he’s overseen solid seasons from Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree over that time, and he says they are going to play fast and “it starts with route discipline.” Speaking of 2017 fifth overall pick Corey Davis, Moore says he just needs to stay healthy so he can get the necessary reps to improve. Davis battled hamstring issues for much of his rookie season, and the new coaching staff is going to rely on the talented receiver to remain healthy and be a big part of the offense in 2018. We’ll see if Davis can stay healthy throughout the offseason and training camp, and he’ll have a lot of fantasy upside if he does.

Teddy Bridgewater officially signed with the Jets.
Because the team hadn’t officially announced the Bridgewater signing yet, and yesterday they traded up to No. 3 in the draft to presumably draft a quarterback, there was a slight question mark about the situation. However, Bridgewater is officially a Jet, and he’ll work with Josh McCown to help the team’s potential rookie quarterback get comfortable in the NFL. It’s possible the Jets have a wide-open quarterback competition this summer, so it’s unclear if Bridgewater will have any fantasy value in 2018.
