Join now >Alvin Kamara scores in Saints’ playoff loss.
Kamara had an excellent game considering he was facing the league’s best defense, as he was effective both on the ground and through the air as a receiver. The rookie running back had 11 carries for 43 rushing yards and added four receptions for 62 receiving touchdowns and one receiving touchdown, with the score coming on a great catch in the end zone in tight coverage from Vikings linebacker Eric Kendricks after wheel route from the backfield. And it could’ve been a bigger game if not for a missed throw by Willie Snead on a trick play that got Kamara wide open down the field for a big gain or potential touchdown. While he was very much a big part of the offense as a rookie, the Saints might get Kamara more work in his second season. Kamara is likely to end up a first-round selection in most fantasy drafts, and he certainly does offer elite upside each week.

Antonio Brown (calf) is officially active for the Divisional Round.
Despite reports emerging that stated Brown was no lock to play today against the Jaguars, AB practiced fully on Wednesday and Thursday before missing Friday with an illness, and teammates and head coach Mike Tomlin both indicated the All-Pro receiver looked like himself. Now some reports are saying he’s not close to 100%, but there could be a couple of reasons for those reporters emerging: one, it could be some mind games by the Steelers to get the Jaguars to think Brown might not be himself; and two, it could be an excuse inserted in case Brown doesn’t play well in a difficult playoff matchup. We expect to see the usual Antonio Brown out there after he worked extremely hard to get himself ready to play, and he should make a lot of big plays like he usually does each week.

The Packers are releasing wide receiver Jordy Nelson, according to Adam Schefter.
Just minutes after it was revealed Green Bay was set to sign free agent tight end Jimmy Graham, they are also parting ways with one of the best players in franchise history. Nelson spent each of his ten years with the Packers after being selected in the second round of the 2008 draft, and he’s had quite the decade there, winning Super Bowl XLV, being named an All-Pro in 2014, and winning NFL Comeback Player of the Year in 2016. In the Super Bowl win over the Steelers, Nelson had nine receptions for 140 yards and a touchdown, and during his ten years in Green Bay (nine seasons), he caught 550 receptions for 7,848 yards and 69 touchdowns. Nelson will be 33 in May and is coming off his worst season since his second year in the league, but plenty of teams should be interested in adding him to their receiving corps. Perhaps even the Packers will bring him back at a reduced salary, but if not, Packers fans will certainly always remember the plays he’s made for them over the years.

Mike Evans, Bucs agree to long-term extension, according to multiple reports.
It’s said to be a five-year deal worth $82.5 million, including $55 million guaranteed, and leaves him in Tampa Bay through the 2023 season. While Evans is certainly one of the best receivers in the league, this is a bit surprising after a season that saw him display some serious maturity issues on the field. Perhaps the Bucs want to get ahead of whatever deal Odell Beckham Jr. eventually signs, which now might have a realistic shot at approaching $20 million per year. The Bucs will look to find a running back and add more pieces to the defense this offseason, but they have no shortage of receiving options for Jameis Winston with Evans, Chris Godwin, DeSean Jackson, and O.J. Howard.

Case Keenum, Vikings advance to NFC Championship Game with miraculous win over New Orleans.
Keenum was 25/40 for 318 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the 29-24 victory. Down 24-23 heading into the final play of the game, Keenum tossed a pass to the sidelines that Stefon Diggs came away with and turned upfield for a 61-yard touchdown. He certainly came up when it mattered most, but Keenum can’t make big mistakes—especially early—against an aggressive Philadelphia defense next week like he did when he threw an interception that allowed the Saints back in today’s classic. The Vikings and Eagles play next Sunday at 6:40 PM ET.

Devonta Freeman tells ESPN he injured his knee in Week 17.
After Atlanta’s Divisional Round loss to the Eagles, Freeman told ESPN’s Vaughn McClure that he suffered both a sprained PCL and sprained MCL in the regular season finale against the Panthers. The league’s highest-paid running back says he isn’t sure if he needs offseason surgery, but if he does it still shouldn’t be anything serious enough to it keeps Freeman out any longer than potentially offseason training. The Falcons might give word on Freeman throughout the offseason whether he gets surgery or not.

Taylor Gabriel plans to sign with the Bears, according to Andrew Hawkins.
The former NFL receiver Andrew Hawkins got the scoop right from the source via fellow relatively-smaller receiver Taylor Gabriel—the two spent time together in Cleveland with the Browns. Chicago continues to add pieces around quarterback Mitchell Trubisky in a revamped offense, and Gabriel should match up well with the deep-ball ability of the second-year quarterback. The signing cannot become official until tomorrow when the new league year starts, but it would be a surprise if Gabriel backed out of the deal.
