Join now >LeSean McCoy (ankle) is officially listed as questionable for the Wild Card Round.
McCoy was able to get in a limited practice today after missing Wednesday and Thursday with his ankle issue. He now has another day to hit rehab hard and get his ankle in the best possible condition ahead of Sunday. We fully expect McCoy to be out there against the Jaguars, even if it’s at less than 100%. For fantasy purposes, McCoy should remain a high-volume option, as the Bills are still likely to feed him touches in the game.

Drew Brees, Saints advance with thrilling 31-26 win over the Panthers.
Brees was 23/33 for 376 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. The soon-to-be 39-year-old was pinpoint accurate all game, hitting Ted Ginn for an 80-yard score in the first quarter and Josh Hill for a nine-yard score in the second quarter. Carolina had a chance to win it at the end, but the defense held Cam Newton out of the end zone, and New Orleans will now advance to face the Vikings next Sunday. Minnesota’s secondary will pose a tougher task.

Albert Wilson (hamstring) is questionable for Saturday.
Wilson is fully expected to play in the playoff matchup against the Titans, but it looks like it won’t be official until Saturday. While he’s expected to be in the lineup for Kansas City, there are probably better options out there if you’re playing in any fantasy playoff challenges.

Cam Newton plays great, but Panthers lose in the Wild Card Round.
Accuracy was one of the big concerns for Newton heading into today’s playoff matchup with the Saints, but Newton was on point with his passes throughout the afternoon, throwing accurate balls for his receivers to make plays on. Newton was 24/40 for 349 passing yards and two passing touchdowns along with eight carries for 37 yards rushing. The Panthers scored 14 fourth-quarter points, with touchdowns to Greg Olsen and Christian McCaffrey, but Newton was sacked on a fourth down with a few seconds to go. Early in the game, Newton threw a perfect pass to Kaelin Clay on an out route in the end zone, but Clay dropped it and then Graham Gano missed a field goal. This season, Newton was up there as one of the better fantasy quarterbacks, and he’ll have the offseason to get healthier from his shoulder surgery from last year. Newton will be an obvious QB1 in all 2018 fantasy drafts.

LeSean McCoy (ankle) did not practice today.
This is now two straight missed practices for McCoy, but he said to reporters after practice that the ankle injury isn’t as bad as he thought. It’s not the least bit surprising that McCoy’s injury isn’t as bad as he might have unintentionally led us to believe, and it sounds like this is just a pain-tolerance thing more than anything now. We fully expect McCoy to be out there on Sunday against the Jaguars, but we’ll see how he’s listed on the official injury report when it’s released tomorrow.
1/4/18 - 03:13 PM ET
DeMarco Murray (knee) has been ruled out for the Wild Card Round this Saturday.
Murray is dealing with an MCL tear, so Derrick Henry will carry the load in Kansas City as the Titans look to upset the Chiefs. The fact that Murray was even questionable leading up to the game is a testament of his toughness, and he could be back if Tennessee is able to advance. In the meantime, Henry will have a chance to show he is ready for a heavy workload this month and for 2018.

UPDATE: Devin Funchess has returned to the game.
Thankfully, Funchess’ Achilles is in tact and if anything he suffered a mild ankle sprain. He didn’t miss any plays and should be fine moving forward in this big playoff game against the division rival Saints.
