San Francisco has been in the market to add to the tight end position, and they’ll bring in Pruitt. For now, Pruitt is off the fantasy radar in standard-sized leagues.

Dazz Newsome broke his collarbone.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports that it was a “clean” break and that Newsome is expected to be ready for around the start of training camp after an eight-week recovery. Hopefully the rookie sixth-round receiver is feeling better soon and can be ready for Day 1 of camp as he looks to earn a role in the Chicago offense this season.

The 49ers have released Josh Johnson.
San Francisco has Josh Rosen and Nate Sudfeld behind Jimmy Garoppolo and Trey Lance, so they are pretty well set at quarterback heading into the summer. Johnson turned 35 last month and will hope to get another shot elsewhere ahead of training camp.

The 49ers are signing Andy Jones.
San Francisco has a fairly open depth chart at receiver considering how good their offense is, so Jones will look to impress and make the team behind Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel.

The Texans signed Rex Burkhead.
This is another surprise signing for Houston, as they are absolutely stacked at running back after also signing veterans Mark Ingram and Phillip Lindsay to join David Johnson in the backfield. However, Burkhead is a four-down type of player that can be a major contributor on special teams, and he has the New England connection with new Texans general manager Nick Caserio. In four seasons with the Patriots, Burkhead had 253 carries for 1,026 rushing yards and 11 rushing touchdowns along with 96 receptions for 856 receiving yards and seven receiving touchdowns. Burkhead also scored the game-winning touchdown in the AFC Championship Game in 2019 and won Super Bowl LIII with the Patriots, so the Texans are brining in an accomplished player that’ll help set the foundation for the new regime.

Corey Davis suffered what is believed to be a minor shoulder strain at OTA’s, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
Davis is getting a second opinion on the scans from his shoulder, but the belief is that he will be OK with rest. The Jets will get a closer look at second-round pick Elijah Moore and other wideouts behind Denzel Mims and Jamison Crowder for as long as Davis is out.

The Cardinals released Cole McDonald.
The Hawaii product will look to join another team ahead of training camp or potentially during the in-progress offseason training. McDonald is off the fantasy radar at the moment.
