Join now >Maurice Harris (concussion) is out for Week 14.
This doesn’t have much of a fantasy implication, but hopefully the second-year undrafted receiver is feeling better soon. It’d be nice to see him back out there for the final three games of the season as he looks to carve out a solid spot on the team heading into the offseason.

The NFL has suspended JuJu Smith-Schuster for one game.
Smith-Schuster is being suspended for his hit and taunt on Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict in last night’s game. The hit was deserving enough of a penalty, but the NFL’s statement from Vice President of Football Operations Jon Runyan also states that the “conduct following the hit fell far below the high standards of sportsmanship expected of an NFL player.” For fantasy purposes, the rookie receiver’s role hasn’t been as big as it was a few weeks ago, so ideally you weren’t playing him in the first week of the fantasy playoffs in a tough matchup with Baltimore anyway. Smith-Schuster will be back for a huge Week 15 matchup with the Patriots.

Jordan Reed (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 14.
This is Reed’s sixth-straight missed game in what’s become a bit of a lost season for him. Injuries have always been the concern with Reed, and those that spent a high fantasy pick on him this season haven’t had it pay off heading into the fantasy playoffs. Vernon Davis will get another start, but he’s a riskier option this week against a Chargers team that’s defended tight ends well this season.

Giovani Bernard plays well in Week 13.
Joe Mixon left the game in the second quarter with a concussion, and Bernard received all the backfield work after that. Bernard had 13 carries for 77 yards rushing and two receptions for 19 yards receiving in the game. He ran very well, picking up positive yardage and running with a lot of power with his carries. If Mixon were to miss time, Bernard would be a clear starting option in fantasy lineups. If not, Bernard would be difficult to trust outside of deep PPR leagues.

Tevin Coleman is officially in concussion protocol.
Coleman took a hit to the head from a couple Saints defensive tackles late in last night’s win, and he’ll now have to get cleared ahead of Atlanta’s Week 15 game against Tampa Bay. Teammate Devonta Freeman missed two games because of his concussion, but it Freeman’s second concussion of the year. We’re pulling for Coleman to feel better soon and hopefully be out there with his team in a couple Sundays.

A.J. Green scores twice against the Steelers.
Green always seems to have a big game against the Steelers, and he did again tonight, catching seven passes (on 16 targets) for 77 yards and a two touchdowns. The Pro Bowl receiver did have a couple of uncharacteristic drops in the game, but overall he played very well. The first score was on an out route by the end zone in which he got wide open on after the corner slipped. And the second score was on an in-breaking route where he made a nice catch on a perfect throw to his back hip with the safety crashing down on him. Green could’ve had a third touchdown—and really should have—on a deep ball that was called back on a very questionable holding call against Giovani Bernard. Obviously, Green is a great option next week against Chicago.

Amari Cooper (ankle) is not expected to play this weekend, according to Dan Graziano.
Similar to the ESPN report from Josina Anderson about Adrian Peterson being unlikely to play this week, it seemed pretty obvious this might be the case. Cooper, who’s thankfully over his concussion, hasn’t been able to practice yet this week while dealing with his ankle injury. Derek Carr and the Raiders will probably be without him against the Chiefs, and it’s possible Cooper will miss more than just this week, as he could be dealing with a high-ankle sprain.
