Join now >Alex Smith goes off, but the Chiefs lose and fall to 6-6.
During a week in which doubters were calling for rookie quarterback Patrick Mahomes to start over Smith, the veteran quarterback came out and had a superb game, going 19/33 for 366 yards and four touchdowns while adding a 70-yard carry (breaking tackles and making people miss) on his lone rushing attempt of the game. The first two touchdowns were quick first-quarter scores to Travis Kelce for 22 yards and 36 yards, and then he later he Tyreek Hill on two more deep balls for scores in the game. The Chiefs did have a chance to tie the game at the end, but they stalled in Jets territory. However, it was the defense that let Kansas City down in this loss. Consider a back-on-track Smith a QB1 next week against Oakland (a team he threw for 342 yards and three touchdowns against in Week 7) for the first round of the fantasy playoffs.

Redskins fall to 5-7 with Thursday night loss to the Cowboys.
The Cowboys dominated much of this one, as they got a lot of pressure on Kirk Cousins and shut down Washington’s running game throughout the night. Kirk Cousins was 26/37 for 251 yards, two touchdowns, two interceptions, and a lost fumble in the loss. The touchdowns were to Ryan Grant for 24 yards on a back-shoulder throw into zone coverage and to Josh Doctson on a fade to the end zone. Neither of the interceptions were really on Cousins, as one went off Jamison Crowder’s hands in the red zone, and the other came at the end of the game while he was hit as he was throwing. The pass rush of the Chargers could present problems in Week 14, but Cousins will remain a QB1 option.

Tion Green impresses in first career NFL action.
Green rushed 11 times for 51 yards and a touchdown against a stout Baltimore defense. The undrafted rookie got an opportunity with Ameer Abdullah (neck) out in Week 13, and he took advantage of it. Most of his production came on a 33-yard run, but Green is still suddenly on the fantasy radar after leading the backfield. If Abdullah misses another game, the rookie might be worth picking up and playing as a FLEX in a good matchup with Tampa Bay.

Rams head coach Sean McVay gives clarity on the return of Robert Woods (shoulder).
The team is hoping Woods will be ready for Week 14 against the NFC-leading Eagles, but McVay says it’s more realistic that Woods is ready for Week 15 against Seattle—which appears to be the target right now. Don’t be surprised if Woods toughs it out and plays next week, but expect him to miss a couple more games.
12/1/17 - 12:59 AM ET
Randall Cobb doesn’t catch a pass in Week 13.
Green Bay had only 84 passing yards on 13 completions in the game, so Cobb being held without a catch isn’t a huge surprise. He should bounce back against the Browns next week, but there’s some risk inserting him into fantasy lineups.
12/4/17 - 11:58 AM ET
Maurice Harris (concussion) has been ruled out against the Cowboys.
Harris is now in concussion protocol and will have about ten days to get cleared before Week 14. Harris didn’t have any catches before leaving the Thursday nighter.
11/30/17 - 10:54 PM ET
Richard Rodgers gets two targets against the Bucs.
Rodgers caught one pass in the Week 13 win, gaining four yards. He’s not a fantasy option right now.
