Considering Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said early in the week that the rookie receiver would need reps in practice to play in the game, this isn’t a surprise. Smith-Schuster didn’t practice on Wednesday and Thursday because of the hamstring injury, so he won’t play versus Green Bay. Martavis Bryant suddenly becomes a high-upside option in fantasy lineups, though the talented receiver does carry some risk because of his low floor. Hopefully this won’t be a multi-game absence for the exciting Smith-Schuster, but consider him questionable for Week 13.

Devonta Freeman (concussion) has been ruled out for Week 12.
Freeman made progress in protocol to at least get to a limited participant in practice, but the Falcons went ahead and ruled him out ahead of the weekend. Considering Freeman has suffered two concussions this year, it’s probably best for his long-term health to just take this slow. Freeman is probably 50/50 to play in Week 13 against the Vikings, but we’d say there’s definite hope that he’ll be out there. Tevin Coleman should get a heavy workload on Sunday and is an elite RB1 option against the Buccaneers.

Mike Williams is believed to have avoided an ACL injury.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport says the rookie receiver will get an MRI and the team believes he’ll miss some time, but that the ACL is intact. This still sounds like it could keep Williams out for at least a couple of weeks, but we’ll learn more after the MRI results are revealed.

Mike Tolbert (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 12.
After a decent start to the week with a limited practice, Tolbert’s hamstring is still giving him issues. This doesn’t have a huge fantasy impact, as LeSean McCoy will remain a workhorse against the Chiefs anyway.

Kelvin Benjamin (knee) isn’t practicing today.
Benjamin seems highly unlikely to suit up on Sunday against the Chiefs, which is a slight downgrade for Tyrod Taylor. No Buffalo receiver gets a big enough boost to be in the FLEX conversation for standard leagues if Benjamin is out.

Vernon Davis doesn’t catch a pass versus the Giants
This will probably go down as one of the biggest fantasy shockers of the week, as Davis has been excellent this season while the Giants have been terrible against opposing tight ends. Davis’ lone target was on a miscommunication where Davis wheeled his route up the field while Cousins threw it as if Davis was just running an out. Despite the disappointing game tonight, Davis will still be a TE1 if Jordan Reed (hamstring) remains out a week from tonight against the Cowboys.

Josh Doctson scores against the Giants.
Doctson was targeted four times in the Thanksgiving victory, catching two passes for 28 yards and a touchdown. The score was a 14-yarder late in the fourth quarter that was the go-ahead touchdown on a deep out after a play-action fake. The second-year receiver continues to make some plays for the Redskins, which is great to see. He’s in the FLEX conversation for next Thursday night against the Cowboys.
