Albert Wilson (knee) is officially questionable for tomorrow night.

He was able to get a limited participation in practice today, so hopefully he’s able to play against the Raiders. Wilson wouldn’t be a recommended fantasy option, but he’d be a boost for Alex Smith and the offense as a whole

Kendall Wright gets eight targets against the Saints.

Wright’s eight targets were a team high, but he couldn’t get much going in the box score, catching two passes for 23 yards. Though it was possible he’d have some PPR value as the main slot guy for the Bears, a run-heavy offensive approach hasn’t helped. Through eight games, the former Titan is on pace for 44 receptions, 518 yards, and two touchdowns.

Pete Carroll says C.J. Prosise “looks like he’s ready to go” this week.

Prosise was battling an ankle injury that kept him out the last two games, but it sounds like he’ll be ready to go after the team just had their bye week. We’ll see how this works out with Thomas Rawls, Eddie Lacy, and J.D. McKissic all in the backfield, but Prosise is expected to be active when he’s healthy. McKissic might end up being inactive, despite the impact he’s made while on the field this season.

Leonte Carroo plays well in Dolphins’ loss.

With DeVante Parker (ankle) out for a third-straight game, Carroo stepped up and was a reliable target for quarterback Matt Moore, catching six of eight targets for 48 yards. Parker is fully expected to return in Week 9, so Carroo will go back to more of a backup/reserve role against Oakland.

Andrew Luck (shoulder) suffers apparent setback.

Colts GM Chris Ballard is addressing the media and said Luck has had a sore shoulder, had a cortisone shot, and will not practice this week. The ramping up of activity seems to have caused some issues with the shoulder, at least in terms of soreness, and Ballard would not confirm that Luck will play this season. However, Luck will not be placed on Injured Reserve (at least not yet), so that’s a positive. But, despite the team and the quarterback making it clear there is no set timeline for his return, he was expected to be ready close to the start of the season—and electing to not put him on the PUP to start the season probably confirms that. So this is a major concern, as not setting a timeline would ideally have made a setback be less likely, but he’s unfortunately had one anyway. Hopefully the Colts franchise quarterback is able to get out there at some point this season, because you only have so many years to play in the NFL. This puts a dent in the fantasy outlooks of everyone in Indianapolis’ offense moving forward.

Cam Newton, Panthers pick up 17-3 win in ugly game against Tampa Bay.

Newton was 18/32 for 154 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He also led the team with 11 carries and 44 yards on the ground. Cam was able to hit Kelvin Benjamin for a 25-yard score in the fourth quarter, but besides that, it was another struggle for Carolina’s offense. Fortunately for fantasy owners, the rushing production has kept Newton’s fantasy totals up, but he’s still underperforming. Hopefully he is better against the Falcons on Sunday, but he did struggle against them in 2016.

Benjamin Watson (knee) is active for Week 8.

The veteran tight end was listed as questionable coming in, but there was not much of a question if he’d play. With six teams on a bye, Watson is a a high-end TE2 against a Dolphins team that’s struggled against tight ends this year.
