Damien Williams | Free Agent RB

Damien Williams sees four touches in Week 7 win.

Williams rushed twice for two yards and caught two passes for 18 yards. He’s not a fantasy option behind Jay Ajayi, though he looks like the top handcuff as the only other back to receive an offensive touch.

DeSean Jackson | Retired WR

DeSean Jackson caught five passes for 73 yards in Sunday’s loss to the Bills.

Jackson has found some consistency over the past three weeks with at least seven fantasy points in each game. He will look to keep it up against the Panthers in Week 8 with the Bucs trying to avoid a 2-5 start. For what it’s worth, Jackson has gone for lines of 5/87/1 and 7/111 over the past two seasons against Carolina.

Jordan Howard | Free Agent RB

Jordan Howard gets 21 carries against Carolina.

The Bears had an extremely run-heavy gameplan in which Mitchell Trubisky only threw seven passes the entire game, but the Panthers did a nice job limiting Howard—until the end of the game when Chicago ran out the clock. Overall, Howard had 21 carries for 65 yards in the game. Howard should find more room to run against the Saints in Week 8, and he is of course an RB1.

10/23/17 - 12:02 PM ET

A.J. Derby | Free Agent TE

A.J. Derby caught one pass for 10 yards in Sunday’s loss to the Giants.

Derby isn’t a fantasy option with Virgil Green and Jeff Heuerman also on the roster. The Broncos play the Chargers next Sunday.

10/16/17 - 03:59 PM ET

Jay Ajayi | Free Agent RB

Jay Ajayi handles 26 touches in Week 7 win.

Ajayi rushed 23 times for 51 yards, adding 26 yards on three receptions. New York has given the offensive line of the Dolphins fits in both games this season, but the workload is really encouraging for Ajayi owners. He’ll be the offensive centerpiece again on Thursday night, and he should push for 25-30 touches with Jay Cutler (ribs) likely out. Keep him in lineups as a workhorse RB1.

10/23/17 - 02:15 PM ET

Alex Smith | Retired QB

Alex Smith keeps up great play but the Chiefs lose second straight.

Kansas City was in command for most of the game, but Oakland had a great fourth-quarter comeback and the Chiefs fell to 5-2. In the Thursday night loss, Smith was 25/36 for 342 yards and three touchdowns while spreading the ball to nine different receivers. Smith’s first touchdown was to tight end Travis Kelce on a nice throw on a corner route to the end zone. The second was an absolutely beautiful 64-yard deep ball to speedster Tyreek Hill that could not have been placed any better. And the third was a 63-yarder on a deep pass down the middle to Albert Wilson that was tipped and nearly intercepted, but it deflected right to Wilson for the score. Overall, the veteran signal-caller continues his MVP-level play and has as many touchdown passes this season (15) as he did all of last season. He has a difficult matchup with the Broncos on Monday night in Week 8, but Smith is still a QB1 option in that game.

10/20/17 - 12:04 AM ET

Breshad Perriman | Free Agent WR

Breshad Perriman (concussion) did not practice today.

He’s still in protocol and is running out of time before Sunday’s game. Baltimore needs to travel to Minnesota for the game against the Vikings, so it’s possible Perriman is just left at home for the trip if he doesn’t make progress.
